"So I called this cab company at exactly 1200pm on Tuesday 6/7/22 and was greeted by a very professional woman (cant remember her name). I told her my pick up location (deep Powhatan, around 60 and Academy) and she said without hesitation that they would gladly pick me up, but it would 1-2 hours because they were busy (not a big deal). Around 130, she called me back and told me my driver was finishing up a run and would be to me within an hour and would call me when 10 min away. As promised, Edward called me when he was 10 minutes away. Originally I had asked for a one way trip, but I asked Edward if he was willing to wait for me and bring me back, and without any hesitation or sarcasm, or any other malicious tone in his voice, said sure! My trip one way was 32 miles and 36 minutes. The charge one way was $75 (completely acceptable to me, as Lyft was quoting me $206 with no guarantee of a pick up, and Uber quoted me at $211 with the same "no promise". When Edward arrived, he greeted me with this adorable baby in the car (I'm totally assuming it was his grandchild, but could've easily been his own, I did not inquire). He spoke to me professionally, and asked me how I would like to pay. I told him I had a card or could stop and get cash. He noticed my cashapp card and told me I could just send him the money directly on cashapp, which I did ($150 round trip). He was incredibly pleasant the entire trip. We spoke as if we were old friends from the moment we began conversing. He made the long ride feel as if it flew by. Upon arriving to my location on Chamberlayne Ave, he told me he was going to go eat, told me where he would be going, how long he would be, and told me to call whenever I was ready for my pick up. 30 min passed, and I text him that I would be ready around 410pm at the same drop off location, and he said okay, he would arrive after getting gas. As an act of kindness, I cashapp'd him $10 to help with gas,=. He promptly showed up at 412. We began the long drive back, and again, he was absolutely pleasant and amazingly fun to converse with. If and WHEN I need another cab company to get me from central Powhatan to ANYWHERE, I will 100% be calling this company and requesting Edward. I saved his contact information and will certainly be checking in on him time to time because I feel like I made a real friend today after speaking with him. Keep this man around! Edward, when I get paid tomorrow night (Wednesday 6/8) I will cashapp you a much nicer tip than the tiny little $10 I gave you. I feel like you earned so much more and I would've given it if I had had it at that moment."
