"I tend to not write a review when I've had a bad experience with a business however this experience was mind blowing. This was my first time going to favor hair braiding. It was convenient and the price was descent. My issue is not with the braiding itself, its the trying to over charge me, keeping the hair I brought, asking me to pay a certain way and then having the cops called on me for false accusations. I originally booked on styleseat which is how I found them, I've gone to several braiders who use this app to handle their business bookings, and a lot of them ask to pay through zelle and venmo so they aren't charged the service fee. I totally get it. I was originally charged $220.00 and was refunded so I could pay through zelle. I had no issue with this, not one time was I told that I would be charged more then what was originally charged. I was asked to come in an hour earlier than the original time I set, inconvenience? yes, but I try to oblige businesses so they can have a smooth operation. Got there was worked on by several women, the service went fast, however we finished around the same time we were suppose to. However, when I asked how much the service was because I wanted to see if this was an honest business, she then added $20 to the service. Not telling me why or what for, I had brought all my own hair, it was then suggested to me that I use their hair because it would be easier for the length I wanted. My hair was never given back to me, when the service was over they packed up the hair I bought and put it away. When payment came I sent the original $220 because they took the hair I bought and basically had no intentions of giving it back. I didn't make a big fuss I paid through Zelle as requested and left on my way. 20 minutes later I'm getting a text that she didn't receive the money. I sent her a screen shot of the payment pending. She then harrassed me about the $20 extra dollars when I said you kept the hair I bought which was worth about $40 she then began to have a aggressive tone through text. Once I sent proof that the money was sent and the bank would be releasing funds in 1-3 business days I blocked her because she kept calling. The following day I was left a message by Prince William sheriff stating that Miss Johnson was accusing me of not paying. That I didn't bring anything but some curly hair for my goddess knotless braids which was completely false I brought both braiding hair and the curly strands for the entire service. I then not only had to prove that I bought both types of hair but I then had to send proof of payment. Funny thing is when the police officer sent me proof that Miss Johnson received notification of payment there was a similar text from another client of hers with the same type of payment for the same wait time. So not only did miss Johnson try to add on more money to a service that was already originally paid for the amount of $220, she kept the hair I bought with out a thought to give it back, I was harassed and had the cops called on me because she decided that the bank holding her payment was me not paying when it was upon her request to be paid like that in the first place. This is a dishonest business, not ever have I walked away with out paying for services rendered, I myself being a business woman, and entrepreneur I'm willing to pay for honest and jobs well done. Had she returned my hair I would have easily paid the extra twenty for using her hair but sense she decided to keep what I paid for in exchange for what she used which was actually $20 more.. I paid her what I was originally charged. I don't like writing reviews like this but bad business is bad business. I will not be going back nor will I be referring anyone and from some of the reviews this is not the first time they have tried to dig in other peoples pockets."

"I’m so glad I came to Favor Hair braiding!!! I’m not one to write reviews but they did an Amazing job on my hair!!! I booked Small Knotless with a blend of 613/27 color and wavy ends. The parts are so neat! It’s only been a day and I’ve gotten so many compliments already! Fair pricing and I love the organization of their booking site! I will be back! :)"

"Both of the women are very friendly and do great work however they tend to overcharge. Both my friends payed $40-$60 for their braids or twists respectively and yet she’s charging me and some of my other associates $80+ for the same styles when out hair lengths aren’t too much different. Nice women, really about their work I just wish the business was consistent so i could refer more people but if it’s dependent on who they take a liking to instead of standard business Im not sure if i’d like to personally."
