"Wowwww I wanted to visit to this place mostly because I ve been buying their beer on my local supermarket. Their local is amazing, big, clean, airy, they have about 10 beers on tap and the food is really good. Everyone working there is young and knowable, it really is a treat!"
"I’ve been hearing good things about Beale’s for the past couple years and it certainly lived up to the hype. Situated in an old warehouse, the space is huge! I was impressed with how spacious the dining area is. I don’t know if they have live music but the space can certainly accommodate it. The food was excellent, no complaints. I’m a pulled pork guy and I put theirs in the upper echelon when it comes to restaurant bbq. The Virginia red sauce was my go to but to be fair to the pork I didn’t need much of it. I also want to compliment the sides, which stood on their own and weren’t just afterthoughts to go with a sandwich. All in all it was a great experience and we’ll definitely be back"
"Drove out to Beale's from the Smith Mountain Lake area - took about 35 minutes. Were fortunate to get there when a picnic table was still available. It's Mother's Day so it got very crowded. Two musicians were setting up. As more people arrived, they made a joke that they were related to more than half the people there. I got a flight. You could get 4 or 6; I opted for the latter. Really enjoyed 3 - Razzle Dazzle, Peach Tea and Brunch Stout. Lemon Drop and Plumpricot were pretty sour and Honey Nut Porter was slightly bitter. My husband enjoyed his Goat IPA. For lunch I had The Hawkeye (pulled chicken with Buffalo flavor) and my husband had The Classic burger. Both were flavorful. The reason I gave 4 stars is everything was cool, not even warm. As I said, they were very busy. We will go back another day and I will amend as necessary. And we will go back."
"Fantastic food. The ribs were great. The supreme nachos, with all three meats, were very tasty. The smoked wings were just crunchy enough and full of taste. The pretzel with beer cheese was excellent. Mrs. Joey had one of the flights of beer and said all of them were great, especially the " Good Tidings." The apple cobbler a la mode was a great ending to the meal. It was so good, I forgot to take a picture before we ate it. The service was friendly, prompt and the order was 100% accurate.
