"It's a nice and clean place to eat. I'm pretty sure, the server's do the very best they can. However, the cook they hav isn't a cook.! The food was burnt and looked like it had sat for awhile be4 bringing it to us. Wowwwwww In my book, if a restaurant can't serve better than that. Maybe they shouldn't be in business..."

"Ordered the steak & cheese sandwich. The chunks of steak were like rubber bullets and I ordered bacon cheese fries, there were less than 10 fries. Sent that back and got a club sandwich with onion rings and the toast was burned black The onion rings tasted like fish. The only plus was that the waitress was nice. Save your money!"

"Wonderful place and we really enjoyed our visit. Her steak was perfect flavor and texture. My catfish was fried just right in a corn meal coating. This is great local fare with generous portions at a nice price. Our server was very helpful. Don't miss the blackberry cobbler if they have it when you come."

"We met up with some friends to wander the ghost town in Pamplin & walk some of the High Bridge trail and stumbled upon the Rail Yard. I had the vegetarian combination with butter beans, mac-n-cheese, corn pudding and some baked apples. The rest of the table opted for BBQ sandwiches as well as some sides. The meat eaters said the BBQ sandwiches were great and they came with an assortment of sauces. The mac-n-cheese was creamy, cheesy and with shell pasta (there is an elbow shortage I am told), both of us that ordered it enjoyed it. We all agreed the corn pudding was the star of the meal. I decided to order a Blueberry biscuit. The biscuit itself was amazing. The perfect balance of sweetness and moisture. The icing was lacking but maybe it was just off that day. Service was great. Price was great. Food was great. Oh, and the nerd in us really dug the antique train items on display. Nice addition of Americana flair. Well done."
