"What you would expect for small-town, country meals and friendly, fast service. The staff are so attentive, and food is delicious, simple and affordable especially for today. A hidden gem and wonderful place to grab a quick bite as a couple, family or even solo. To be honest, my husband and I are just glad to have a diner in town, as it was desperately needed. Do try the home fries and baked apples! If they adjust to more days open in the future, we would be thrilled and would go even more often! Wishing Sunrise Diner many years of success here in Lexington."

"This place is a hole in the wall, but don't let that fool you. It's amazing. We stopped to grab a planned breakfast here on our way through town. We had to wait about twenty minutes for a table, but it was well worth it. Google Maps did say that it was as busy as it gets, so we knew this going in. Julia got brisket with onions and peppers, home fries, two eggs, and a biscuit for a very reasonable $12.50. I had country-fried steak with gravy, home fries, a biscuit, and two eggs for an also very reasonable $9.50. This is pretty great, considering the price of Biden's eggs. If things work out on my next trip through Lexington, I'll definitely be back."

"Great little place for breakfast, if you can find it LOL! It's basically in the basement of the Virginia ABC store in a strip mall. You have to drive behind the building for the entrance. As for the breakfast we had eggs benedict, pancakes, breakfast burrito and they were all great. The service was impeccable the wait staff was all over the cleaning of tables and keeping people moving in and out. The place was pretty much packed when we walked in and we had a very short wait but by the time we sat down there were at least 20 people waiting to get in the door. Would definitely come back again. Minor little note, they charge a 2% square fee on your bill even if you don't pay with a credit card. Not crazy about that I think that should only be if you're using a credit card."
