"Sorry, not good at all. It appears the owners are trying to squeeze some added margin out of the menu. The grilled chicken salad was tough, old, and clearly had been refrigerated and was not worth chewing down. My wife left most of it sitting on the plate. My side Caesar salad was so small it could not have cost them even a $1. The steak was so full of gristle I couldn’t eat it, the mashed potatoes were one spoonful, and I counted up 8 baby carrots on my plate. I’ve never done it before because I know most proprietors are trying, but I sent my meal back and requested the fried catfish and grits as a substitute. They produced the catfish meal in less than five minutes. How? Microwaved?! Leftovers?! It, too, was pitiful. It wasn’t even a whole catfish filet. And, the biscuits were the size of ping pong balls. I wanted to get up and leave but Lexington has few dining options, so we forced our way through the meal. Then, we got charged full fare for the skimpy catfish and tough chicken salad. Didn’t argue it, just left very disgusted. Looking for the positive? Our waitress was hard working and pleasant. The ambiance was ok, not great. We will never go back. Sorry folks, you’re in the wrong business."

"Dined for anniversary dinner on Oct. 3rd. We had reservation, but had to wait about 20-minutes for our table. The bartender (I believe his name was Monte) was very cordial. Staff was very welcoming. My wife had Ravioli which she enjoyed and I had the Beef Wellington special which was also very good. We would return to Bistro on Main."

"We made reservations that day on Open Table. Definitely recommend for a weekend night. Although you may be able to find a seat at the bar. Service was very good. Food was flavorful, presented well and prepared as asked. I didn't give it 5 stars due to some portions being cold, ie: scalloped Cheddar potatoes and the demi glace' that came with the Beef Wellington. Another dish we had, shrimp & grits was rather runny. Although the flavor was good, it was more like a soup. Not exactly the consistency you would expect from that dish. It's a bit pricey. Cocktails were over $12 for an 8-10 oz glass. Overall, it has a nice atmosphere."

"We were driving through at 7 PM on a Tuesday night and took a chance. No tables for an hour but we were welcome at the bar. Fabulous dinner w Salmon and Sweet Potatoes, my husband had the Gombo, both were great. Thoroughly enjoyed talking w the bar tender Mortie. Such a nice man. I felt like I was an invited visitor at his home!"
