Jack Mason's Tavern and Brewery is a charming establishment located in the heart of Clifton Forge, Virginia. Situated in the Alleghany Highlands region, our tavern offers a cozy atmosphere perfect for enjoying delicious food and drinks. The historic building, once a C&O Commissary, now houses a family-friendly restaurant and bustling brewery.

At Jack Mason's, you can choose from a wide selection of beers, wines, and spirits to accompany our classic menu offerings. Our brewery, led by Debbie Laudermilk, produces a variety of flagship and seasonal brews, including award-winning favorites like the Loghopper Kolsch and Brother Perkins Brown Ale. In addition to beer, we also offer gluten-free seltzer and non-alcoholic craft sodas.

The tavern features a Game Room with popular arcade games like Golden Tee, as well as a Family Room with children's books and games for the whole family to enjoy. We host weekly trivia nights and can accommodate events for up to 35 people in our brewery space.

"On our travels from San Diego through Virginia. Uncle Leo took us to one of his favorite restaurants in Clifton Forge,VA (Jack Mason's Tavern). We walked in to a friendly greeting and seated immediately. There are license plates and dollar bills with special messages all over the walls. (Yes, I left one too.) A very upbeat server later to be known as "Karen" welcomed us and made us feel welcomed. (Note..not those Karen's you all see on YouTube in the big cities) but a truly wholesome nice women. She was very accommodating and recommended an IPA for my partner and a favorite beer of the restaurant for me. Uncle Leo had his bourbon and ginger. The food came out fast and hot and was excellent and then came the friendly banter from uncle Leo with Karen even better! We WILL be back on our next visit. **I tried to upload a small video where Karen asks Uncle Leo if he wants a box (for his left overs) uncle Leo responds "No, I'll wrestl." We laughed until we walked out. (I hope it comes through for all of you to enjoy.) Thanks Karen for another great memory added to our road trip."

"What a great place to grab a fresh in house brewed beer. This place is way bigger than it appears from the outside. 3 unique areas but flowing well between. The general bar area with a dining area, a gaming area and the brewery area. Dollar bills and license plates all over the bar area. Great relaxing place to hang out!"

"Nice neighborhood tavern/restaurant in a picturesque mountain town. I would normally give it 5 stars, except for two issues. First off, the Reuben sandwich had sweet sauerkraut, which is just weird. Second, the men's room didn't have any soap, no dispenser, no bar soap...no soap. Hopefully the employees use a different bathroom or carry around their own soap."
