"It's definitely my local favorite. I can not say enough about this place. My wife and I had moved to the area 2 years prior. We recognized the building as we traveled to and from Winchester for our selection of restaurants, not realizing this place was a restaurant at first. We finally went in and, wow. First, they have a seating area when you first walk in with easy to see restrooms. Then there is a swing door that leads to the back area. The sign that stands at the front door lets you know you have to poke your head through the back door to make sure a staff member knows you are there. There is more seating in this area, plus the bar and the kitchen. (This is also the only reason they got a 4 instead of 5 for the atmosphere. Because there is heavy smoking that goes on in this area. I gave up smoking years ago and can't stand the smell ever since. I cleaned up, "No judging!") Every single person that works there that has served us in any way has always been extremely friendly. Very respectful and attentive to you, your order, and anything you need to make your visit wonderful! They really give you that family hospitality warmth, like visiting "Aunt Mae" and getting a meal and a few laughs. The food has to be prepared by a chef or a team of high-end cooks because it is always hot, always cooked to order, and seasoned, absolutely fantastic. I've only used the salt and pepper twice! The folks that come there consider this place a staple of the community. Some people meet up there just to have a drink and talk, while others sit and catch up with friends after a long week. There are TVs displayed where you can have a good solid meal and not feel rushed whatsoever. Great place, great good, great atmosphere, at a reasonable price, what more could you want? - CT / ULOV"

"Service and food were very good. The menu variety was great. The drinks were very good. Only downside is the non-smoking section has a faint smoke smell. However, not bad enough to ruin your meal experience. Worth a visit. I'd go again."

"We stopped for a quick lunch and upon entry were greeted with a smell of smoke, there is a smoking friendly section which permeates the building and is not the best; however, there is nice outdoor seating (smoking friendly), the inside is new and clean and the service was very good. My husband had a Reuben which he enjoyed, the meat was very good quality. I had the Cobb salad which was also very good, the lettuce was fresh and crispy, which is always the riskiest part of ordering salads out. I won’t be back due to the smoking, but still enjoyed the quick lunch."

"First visit to the Lone Oak Tavern. Upon entry we were warmly greeted and told to select our own seating. I was surprised to learn that the restaurant has a separate smoking section; although located at the back of the house, the strong smell of cigarette smoke permeated throughout the restaurant. (Note: Anyone with a strong aversion or allergy to cigarette smoke might do well to order take out instead of eating in). Our server, Kaitlyn, was extremely friendly and attentive. She offered good recommendations and insights about the menu. We ordered mozzarella sticks, a cheeseburger with fries, and a grilled Reuben with onion rings. Everything was fresh and delicious! Entrees were reasonably priced at approximately $12.50 each, although the price for mozzarella sticks was a bit high at $9.50 for 5-6 sticks. In all, we enjoyed our visit and will be back!"

"Great local place to have a delicious meal and great service. I eat there often and I highly recommend this little place! Tonight's special was Maryland Crab cakes served on Chesapeake flavored corn and grilled asparagus. Hands down the best crabcakes I have ever had at a restaurant. I grew up on the the Chesapeake Bay. I've had many crab cakes homemade as well as in restaurants and these were some of the best I've ever had. No shell to be found! Thanks Lone Oak for a great meal. Again I highly recommend this restaurant!"
