"I cannot recommend Modern Mechanical or its pre-paid service plan. Their technicians are capable and do good work, but the plan especially saves you no money. They charge usurious prices for any work they suggest. Better to just call someone else to come out twice a year for routine service as their "plan discount" will not save you any money. As I said, nothing against the technicians or work done, but what they charge for minor service, even when on a service plan, is entirely bonkers. $365 to replace a $50 igniter when the guy is already paid to be out here is nuts. This most recent visit, the tech also immediately advised me that the wrong size filter was in there. Well, this is a mystery since I have just used the filters that were in it when I bought the house five years ago and I buy them in bulk. This means that their techs had already seen this wrong filter several times and not mentioned it. And, surprise, surprise, the short filter has allowed the coil to become dirty, impeding airflow and overheating the heat-exchanger, necessitating a $1500 coil-cleaning job. Just lame..."

"We ended up needing a new hot water heater unexpectedly. Omar, with Modern Mechanical, showed up within the scheduled time frame and went right to work . He diagnosed the situation to determine if he could salvage the existing hot water heater with a repair or if replacing it was the best option. The 20 year old unit needed replacing so Omar began the job. He worked non stop until the new water heater was installed and functioning properly. His work is very clean, neat and professional. Would / will definitely recommend him and Modern Mechanical to others."

"Consistently excellent service. Quick booking times, seasoned expert professional mechanics. We bought our air conditioner from them and have them service our furnace, air conditioner and hot water heater. They also do a great job cleaning our ductworks as well as dryer. They show you before and after pictures through the camera so you can see the work performed. Never had a bad problem. All the technicians are professional, friendly and polite. Alex in scheduling is very friendly and upbeat and works to get you an appointment convenient to your schedule."
