"Maura was amazing!! If you need a lactation consultant, she’s the best around!! I had ongoing problems with clogged ducts that eventually led to back-to-back mastitis. Despite still being on maternity leave herself, she made room in her schedule to meet with me. "After experiencing many frustrations with speech waitlists in Mercer, Trumbull, and Mahoning County my husband and I decided to search for a private speech therapist for our 3-year-old son, Willy. We finally found Ignite Pediatric Therapy. After investigating her website, we knew she was the perfect fit for our son. Maura has experience in the hospital and clinical setting, as well as an extensive knowledge in the craniofacial area. Our son was diagnosed with a submucous cleft palate and craniosynostosis. I filled out the contact form on her website, and she followed up with me the next day to schedule a free phone consultation. She took her time and spoke to my husband and I about her services and what she could do to help our son. What I like the most is that Maura conducts her therapy session right in our home. It is a comfortable and familiar setting for our son. Maura comes prepared with activities, but she is also flexible in that she can work on speech skills with an activity that Willy picks out as well. When we first started with Maura, Willy was only using one word phrases. After a few months, he has moved up to two and three word phrases. She also gives us feedback as far as what we, as parents, can do to help facilitate more speech production. Maura is the perfect fit for our son. She is patient, kind, and flexible. She is easy to talk to, and she will give you her honest opinion and/or answer. After every session, she follows up with me via email. She gives a progress note as well as activities to work on throughout the week. I highly recommend Maura and Ignite Pediatric Therapy."
