"Gonzalo cancelled my reservation within two weeks of my trip, and when I asked why and for help regarding his other listings (of which there are many) he yelled at me via Air BnB message that I was a nightmare and that none of the properties were available for my dates. This would have been okay if there had been even a little bit of customer service -- all of his units are listed as 'available,' he's just going to cancel the reservation you make instead of blocking out the dates in his interface calendar as AirBnB recommends for their hosts. Don't expect much."

"Gonzalo is supposedly the owner of 40+ properties in Baltimore, MD, and he rents them out on AirBnB. We booked a location well in advance and paid the deposit. We saw reviews about Gonzalo cancelling rentals last minute, so we politely inquired, well in advance. We received a fairly pointed and rude response telling us how many people have cancelled on him, suggesting he is a victim. I said we understood his frustration, but we were just checking to make sure we had a place to stay. We paid the deposit and continued with the plans to stay at his property. Less than 48 hours of our scheduled check in, I saw a reversal on my CC statement. That immediately was a red flag and sure enough, Gonzalo had cancelled our reservation. This gave us very little time to make arrangements as Baltimore had several events that weekend. My wife has stage IV breast cancer, and we do not know how many trips we can take like this anymore, as we also have 3 children under 5 years old. We were supposed to share the location with two close friends, and we all had to scramble and find new arrangements. This ended up costing more than double the previous amount and put us in distant locations. I hope this never happens to anyone else, and Gonzalo should never be allowed rent another property again."

"Same story as many others: Reserved a Chase Street Properties apartment on September 8 for a stay planned in Baltimore on the weekend of Oct 7. The host, Gonzalo Jouan, confirmed my stay almost immediately after I messaged him with the details of my stay and itinerary. All was fine until less than a week before my trip, when Gonzalo suddenly cancelled my reservation with no explanation whatsoever. I messaged him to ask why - no response. I messaged him on Oct 2 and gave him the courtesy of waiting until Oct 4 to respond to my polite inquiry. He couldn’t be bothered. Gonzalo Jouan and Chase Street Properties ruined my trip and didn’t even have the simple human decency to tell me why. Don’t let him ruin your trip - book with anyone else. For my part, I will be telling my story to the Baltimore City Council and the Baltimore City Housing Department, Johns Hopkins Hospital, as well as anyone else who will listen. I hope this is not a shady business but that is for the authorities to determine."

"This is a great historical building. Located downtown with great parking directly across Charles street. The apartment was very clean as was the central foyers and entryway. The property manager was extremely responsive and thorough in her instructions. We were there four days and the apartment had everything we needed. The kitchen was spacious and supplied with dishes, silverware etc. Washer/ Dryer and plenty of linens. Across the street is a wonderful market providing everything from fruit to sushi. We will certainly be back. I am not sure why the other reviews are not favorable! Our experience was great!!"

"Traveled to Baltimore for a nursing job relocstion and stayed in a 1bedroom apartment at 39 west Lexington street. The apartment was large and very clean. High speed internet was fast and management was very cordial. Location was near everything and was very safe. Indoor free parking was excellent. Highly recommend this company!"
