"I enjoy Balducci's because they have a nice variety of wines you can not easily get at big box stores. If you need that special ingredient for a dish, they usually have it. You can grab a snack and a drink and sit in their Cafe or outdoors on the patio. And mostly I appreciate the pleasant staff who are always willing to help and not make you feel rushed. While the prices are more expensive than other grocery stores this is a specialty market and for that prepare to spend a little extra. If looking for a weekly grocer, this may not be it. But if looking to cater a party, find a special bottle of wine or get that hard to find ingredient, this is a place to check out."

"Four stars are for sandwiches made to order. Fresh, flavorful ingredients in well crafted sandwiches and gift wrapped. But, there are several members of the behind the counter team who, in my opinion, are ill tempered, unfriendly in general and sometimes vocally contemptuous to customers. I have heard others of my opinion on the customer side of the counter make comments about it. When there are 2 or more of the surly staff behind the counter and the ordering experience is throughly contaminated I leave and go somewhere else for lunch. Oddly, I never sense any management presence whenever I go there."
