"Service was impeccable. Food was great. Atmosphere was cozy. Friendly staffs....recommended!!!! One of the best chinese food in Washington DC"
"I order General Tso’s chicken for lunch and I can’t say I’m really impressed. The breading fell off on some of the chicken pieces, the portion was little and kinda pricey. I don’t think I would order the same item perhaps try something different."
"Delicious, authentic Chinese food. A little pricey. Ordered the chicken with hot dry chili pepper, cumin lamb, chinese snow peas, and pork chops. They were all delicious! There was a discount on weekends and if you pay cash. We came for a weekend lunch and it was crowded, so best to call ahead to reserve a table."
"Find a parking spot was bit challenging. However, the restaurant was maintained good & clean. Prices are bit on the higher side but worth the visit. Plenty of options with Sichuan type dishes. Staffs were friendly. One thing I did not like about the experience was forcing customer for 15% minimum tips. Definition of “Tips” is clearly misunderstood in many restaurants. Its not a default thing. A customer would voluntarily provide tips, if he or she felt the services were good, not by forcing. Default gratuity only applies for party of more than 5."
"Sichuan Pavilion was one of the few Chinese restaurants I could get to without a car when I moved to the area 10 years ago. It provided a taste closer to home and a cozy atmosphere where I could relax. To that point, the restaurant was conveniently located (right off Farragut N.) and had more authentic options. For Sichuan fare, I’d recommend chicken with hot dry pepper, beef/fish fillet in hot sauce, and pork/chicken/eggplant in hot garlic sauce. They are all seasoned with great flavors. You can also ask for recommendations. As a rule of thumb, dishes start with general Tao, sweet and sour, sesame, orange flavored, protein with broccoli etc. are Chinese American creation. They’re fine but skip those if you want to try more authentic and regional cuisines."
