"As many reviews have already mentioned, you can buy some products here at better rates than any other grocery store in the immediate vicinity. The bakery section is a must-visit: they pump out fresh warm breads and pastries all day. The German offerings are fantastic too, I especially like the stollen that was sold around Christmas. Things are, however, constantly out of stock so I usually have to make a second visit to another store to get everything I need. It’s also a little messy, especially in the afternoon or later, obviously because of careless shoppers so can’t really blame the staff. I wasn’t thrilled to find a random half-eaten croissant somebody left on the shelves."

"Great prices on produce, dairy and weekly deals, plus the pastries are cheap and semi-fresh (premade but finished in store). Took off a star because the store is always in mild disarray - price tags out of date (check the app for true prices), bag dispensers empty, no baskets near the entrance. I don't really blame the store workers - the store is probably understaffed by corporate."

"I definitely recommend shopping here during the day or especially the morning hours when everything is very well stocked and the store is not busy. I find it very pleasant come on and walking into the store you are greeted with the smells from the bakery which are amazing, and a nice little selection of plants and flowers. Does store itself is small to medium-sized and I like that they carry usually just one option of things. There are some name brand items, and most are under the Lidl brand. Their produce is generally excellent, and their prices are really phenomenal. Since the store is based in Germany they have a lot of European Foods imported."

"My first two visits were great and I loved the products. The last two were awful. They ran out of parking vouchers weeks ago and no longer appear to be validating parking. When I asked when they might have more vouchers, I got rude replies and no answers. They appear to have an antagonistic relationship with the parking garage company. The staff had low morale and were distinctly unhelpful. The manager should be replaced. Meanwhile, prepare to pay several additional dollars for parking."

"So happy Columbia Heights finally has its Lidl. Unbeatable prices, good fresh selection and always a fun surprise to be had in the Aisle of Wonder at the back. Friendly security guard told me they've already decided to stay open one hour later due to popular demand. Danke Lidl!"
