"I’ll be totally honest here. The staff is great, which is why I added two stars… they are really nice people. The hotel on the other hand, is VERY outdated and is in need of a major uplift. The rooms are old, mattresses absolutely SUCK, mind as well just sleep on the floor. The wallpaper is pealing off, stains on the carpets and walls, the mini-fridge was all scratched up, the lamps had rust on them, the countertops were dirty, and wouldn’t clean. Then the water in the shower wouldn’t drain. It was just a mess. Not your typical doubletree…"

"Great place to stay in Annapolis if you want to have easy access to route 50. Nice restaurant on site with cold beer. Could never find the ice maker on the first or second floor."

"We stayed here while volunteering at the Operation Christmas Child Processing Center in Edgemere. The rooms were spacious and clean, the beds were comfortable, and the staff was considerate of our late night arrival. The hotel was decorated beautifully for Christmas. (Loved the warm cookie, Thank you!) The breakfast buffet was delicious, and the service was excellent. We enjoyed the free shuttle to the colonial area of Annapolis. Our driver was a very kind gentleman. Would definitely recommend staying here!"

"Rude Staff made this a bad stay. We were brusquely told to use side doors with our dog, not being explained what they meant, by the night clerk and driver (the doors to the side of the sliding doors, we thought they wanted us to exit out a side way because of our dog). The staff did not want the sliding doors opening because it was in the low 40s and the lobby is poorly designed. Later they parked a luggage cart sideways to block the door, then the following day shut off the door, with a sign about frigid temperatures (it was 50 degrees when I saw the sign). Don't inconvenience your guests paying $100+ a night because you're a little chilly. Maid opened the hotel room door without a knock, glad my dogs were not with me. No free breakfast, coffee is terrible in the room, not that anyone should trust those machines are ever cleaned properly. Slow elevators, staff took the one in front of us, not caring about the dog or the luggage cart."

"Rooms are old, serviceable but depending on when you go the pricing may not justify the accommodations at all. The bar/restaurant downstairs is just OK but the bar was open late which we definitely appreciated being in town for a wedding. We had mixed experiences with the front desk staff, one woman was very pleasant while another was rude and acted like it was a huge inconvenience for her to make us a room key when we forgot ours in our room."
