"When I booked a motel for the price that was offered, I didn’t expect to have such a clean, cool little room. The bed was comfortable, room was spotless and looked like they kept it up very often, or it was new construction. That was the good part of the stay. As for location, it’s not in the best part of town, but that’s to be expected for the price it was offered at. Only thing I really had a problem with was the joke of a “continental breakfast” they offered. It was granola bars and coffee, and not even any milk for the coffee, just creamer."
"Unfortunately, I’ll be suing the hell out of this business! Christine is the best that this company has and should be the manager despite their beliefs. She’s the reason a lot of people actually come and stay at this hotel. I’ve stayed here for almost a month and a few weeks and I’ve watched them spray for bedbugs. I’ve watched and stayed here despite not having microwaves and refrigerators in the rooms although it’s advertised that they have them and no one Discounted rates On the rooms because they never had these things bypass all these things just to come in today, and to learn that I would be a victim of racial profiling, and to be gay bashed! The gentleman that was supposed to check me in, saw that there was a restriction on me being able to check in, but because he accused me of lying about having a reservation verbatim and saying that I was trying to book one when I couldn’t retrieve my information, I thought I booked and didn’t very unprofessional and he actually was completely OK and boisterous of the disrespect when it came to me, I watched him accommodate every International person of the same skin color, however, was very racial with African-Americans from denying services like given change for the laundry room, telling people or referring them to the ATM because he was being lazy regarding card payments because the machine wasn’t working at the time. So, taking my ID and running my information, he could see that I was restricted he had me to pay the money for the room just to tell me I could not stay out if spite. I had to call and employee to Assist which this The reason the only reason that so many people are coming in and out of there it’s nobody but her that has the client tell so high she is a key component and asset of this business! And it’s so unfortunate. However, after watching book the room, he canceled the reservation. Have to pay another $400 and then refuse to give me a printout of the confirmation that he had done so once I got cleared by the manager to stay because it was not me that they had been accusing of what have been going on given the rooms are never cleaned by housekeeping, and every comforter that I’ve slept on already had burn holes in the comforters trash on the floor smoke detector out since I’ve been staying there every time. Once I asked him for confirmation that the room was canceled to rebook once the manager said that I could stay, he refused to give me a copy and through the glass window, stuck the paper up to the Was a monkey and a zoo the most disrespectful thing I’ve ever experienced in my 34 years of living as an African-American male. I’m well educated and a nurse and work every day and it’s so unfortunate that people like that get a pass to behave in such a disgusting way without being terminated but yet the only concern or reason to ban someone is the same thing that everyone else is doing in these rooms that are not being clean make it make sense. RUN!!!!! The establishment has a lot of potential, but individuals like the gentleman who work today are the reason that no one should stay here!"
"It’s already a pain in the behind to hear loudness in the night time from the bar that’s literally in the parking lot, but to have loudness coming from the cleaning staff is so annoying in the daytime. Imagine spending almost $100 here to hear all bunch of noise as you’re trying to sleep in both daytime and nighttime. There isn’t even any or enough trees or grass nearby to be making all of that noise. It is the most annoying thing to hear that leaf blower almost every morning when you're trying to sleep. why not do it around 2pm or something? And please get DO NOT DISTURB signs for the doors, I’m tired of getting woken up by house keeping. And can we get room service to wear hairnets? Everytime they come in they leave traces of their hair. More specifically I always see someone’s red hair or black stringy straight hair in between the clean sheets and washcloths. It’s so nasty. And the floors are neverrrrr actually clean: they always need sweepings. They do the bare minimum when it comes to cleaning the floors, I promise you. No mop or anything just cleaning solution in a bottle then they spray the floor that looks the dirtiest and that’s it. Also please consider some type of “in house” incentives for people that stay here longer than a few days. We spend A LOT to be here monthly. 2k to be exact. Give us like a week free or some thing sheesh."
"I am giving this hotel a "ONE" star rating bcuz I can NOT give it a Zero Star rating. I stayed on this property for 32 days. From Oct 2nd - Nov 4th. First on the Super 8 side then I moved to the Days Inn side 3 weeks later. They did a great job on the renovations, however, the Management Team ran off the Afro-American General Manager that actually did her job & was accommodating to the "Long Term Guests". That had been staying on the property 30+ days. Management constantly LIED about when the mircowaves & refrigerators were coming. When you are a Long Term Guest you NEED a microwave & refrigerator in your room. After the AAGM resigned from her position her replacement was never seen by the guests on the property. They offered a so-called "Price-Match" while I was there. That was NOT a 100% Price Match to begin with. And once the old GM quit on Oct 21st the new GM took away the Price Match discount & raised also raised the weekly rates. This is the absolute WORST Management Team I have seen at a hotel EVER!!! The Afro-American guests are stereotyped. They are NOT fair & care about the guests spending their money on this property. The had on the internet that there was a fitness center. There was NOT when I left. They were just starting to put the microwaves & refrigerators in the rooms the day that I left on Nov 4th. They say on the internet they offer a breakfast that ONLY consists of hard & chewy granola bars. And on the Weekends (ONLY) they put out Otis Spunkmeyer assorted muffins. The rooms are nice since the renovations but there is A LOT of Hood Activities that takes place on that property AND in that parking lot as well. So it is VERY noisy on that front side. And they LIE & say that it is a NON-Smoking property but they do NOT enforce the NON-Smoking rule. On the Super 8 side you smell marijuana smoke while simply just walking down to your room. IF U are in the area & absolutely need a place to stay then stay. Just know that you will NOT be treated fairly but that Management Team IF you happen to have any form of major issues during your stay. They should have NEVER let the other GM leave that property!!! The rest of the staff was nice & accommodating to the guests. The photo is of a blood stain that was on my sheets the very first night I stayed at this hotel."
"This is the cleanest Super 8 i’ve ever stayed at. Such a good price for a good quality stay. Stayed 2 nights after the Blue Ridge Rock Fest horror show and was pleasantly surprised to see how clean the rooms were. Floors were wet when we checked in so I knew it was just cleaned. My only complaint is the walls are very thin. Could hear people banging and screaming down the hall way and it’s not in the safest area. The power also went out for multiple hours during my stay but that is not the hotels fault and they worked as quickly as possible to remedy the situation. All in all I would stay here again the next time I’m in Baltimore as long as staff keeps this hotel as clean as it is right now."
