Pawesome Palace

"We have been visiting Pawesome Palace for over a year, and two of the last three appointments, we had to send our dog back in to get the cut corrected. We provided pictures with examples, including of our own dog after some of the successful cuts, but again they did not follow through. Unfortunately, in addition to the incorrect cut this visit, the appointment took 6 hours from drop off to pickup, which was double the advised time (drop off was 9am, and we did not get a call to pick up until 3pm). The third strike occurred when we had brought our dog back inside and asked the groomer that the tail and ears be fixed to what we asked for. They agreed and told us it would not be a problem. They called us one hour later to pick up (4:15pm). At thos point, our entire day from 8:45pm-4:30pm was locked up because of the appointment. The good news is, the final product was good and our sweet dog was happy to come home. However, when we came back the second time to pick our dog up, the groomer said they would be adding a "matted fee" claiming she had matted fur under her collar. I was thrown off by this because we are very good at brushing our dog regularly, we have never had any issues before, and when we left an hour earlier, they never said anything and we were on our way. However, after the fixes we requested (which were her ears and tail) they decided that there was matted hair around her collar. Why was it not brought up or charged when we picked her up the first time, but added when we asked for corrections to the tail and ears? I even told them to call and speak with my wife before we make that payment, but instead they just charged our card on file and never followed up. Very disappointed this visit. ---> The next day after this review was originally posted, the owner called, was very professional, remedied the situation, and was incredibly kind. After the discussion, I am even more pleased with how a situation like this was turned around. Would recommend and am grateful for how they handled everything."

"My sweet Betty has never walked out of groomers with tongue out and tail wagging. She was so happy I couldn’t stand it! It was so funny to watch. It was our first time and Monica was so nice and service was incredible. Betty will definitely be back!"

He’s not the best dog but lord knows they dont tell me. They tell me they love him and that’s all i need to know. 10/10 love pawesome"

"I’ve taken my Max to a lot of groomers, from big box chain pet stores, to specialty dog grooming places in DC, to an at home pet salon. I’ve never felt happy with any of the grooms but I’ve been back here for Bri, twice now for a groom and a bath. She’s fixed my clipper crazy tendency, brushed him out, given him a bath, and I’m very happy with the results and how affordable it is! Black, woman-owned, new business! We love it! Def recommend to all the pet owners."
