"Part of a party of 8 celebrating a birthday. The main courses were all very good and priced fairly. I had ordered the rabbit and my wife, the lobster ravioli. Both were very delicious and prepared perfectly. We had ordered the calamari marinara as an appetizer and wish we hadn't since it cost $25 and couldn't have been more than a $12 sized portion. My son ordered a Caesar salad which cost $21 dollars. This would make sense if it were served as an authentic Caesar in portion and with anchovies, however it was not. The server, although attentive to our table, did not offer to comp the drink he spilled in one of our guest's lap. Every drink was priced at about $15 regardless of the drink (i.e., pinot grigio, grey goose martini, tito's and soda, Makers Mark Manhattan, were all $15). Although I know the mark up on alcohol is always higher in restaurants, this is not fairly priced. It was very nice of the restaurant to not charge us for the slice of cake for the birthday we were celebrating. When time came for the bill, we split it in thirds but was not told that a 20% gratuity was already added, so the server received a very hefty tip that evening as we added tip on top of the 20%. I gave the mixed review because I cannot fault the main courses but could not stay silent about everything else stated above."

"I had one of the worst dining experiences of my life here. I will say that the food itself was good, but everything else about it was terrible. The taste of the food alone is not enough to ever go back because the service was horrendous. We made a reservation and when we waited over an hour and a half for our food we were told it was because of other people ahead of us. So what’s the point of a reservation? This was on a week night not a busy weekend evening. We had to ask for bread, then bread plates, and water refills. The food is overpriced for the portion sizes as well. To top it all off we were there celebrating a birthday. It was quite the disappointment."

"A promising place that just does not deliver in those promises. I went with a group of 7, with a reservation. Our entire service took 2 hours! We were sat immediately on time, but still had to wait about 10 minutes to be asked about drinks or water, no drink menus were given until this time. We ordered drinks and apps and had to wait another 20 for those. Eventually our order was taken. After waiting about 30 minutes we asked if there is an estimate on the food. No estimate, but about 15 minutes later the food starts coming. 4 plates, one missing a side. All looked like they had been under a heat lamp for some time. 20 minutes later the remaining food comes. The chef actually came out to ask how it was and was taken aback by the honesty given. He offered us free dessert, but we were already running late. No other attempt was made to rectify the issues that occurred. Finally got our check and the waiter let us know the tip was already included."

"I hate doing this, but feel that people should be warned. my wife and I was the third table of people. two groups of two and one with three customers. after a good wait we finally received the table bread after having to request it. cold bread and hard butter. I ordered the meat lasagna and was able to eat maybe a quarter of a small portion of it. 34 bucks wasted. my wife ordered tortellini. she ate maybe half, but was more fortunate to be asked if she wanted parmesan. The waiter sprinkled one spoon over her dish and walked off. I guess none for and all she gets. This restaurant needs a total make over because it has a good location."

"I asked La Perla to host a last minute surprise birthday party for my wife - 16 people. The staff jumped into action. The owner arranged buffet style appetizers with four bottles of wine for the table. We ordered entrees haphazardly - all arriving timely. Absolute pros! Chanel said it was the best birthday she ever had. Very grateful."
