"I have been buying skate/bike gear from Jeff since I was in middle school. He always had what I needed and if he didn’t he would order it for me. Incredible selection. Amazing location. And Jeff has all of the integrity in the world. He’s has been supporting the LYH skate scene for well over 2 decades. Even if I’m not looking for anything in particular it was always nice to stop by the shop to chat and say what’s up to my boy Rocket. Support small businesses !!!!!"
"I give this place 1 star mainly because of my interaction with Jeff after a purchase, but also for the poor selection of wheels they had. . Jeff told me these wheels were one of the tougher ones rating a 103. First day skating them and they get a couple good size “knicks” taken out of them. I could understand this happened to a softer wheel, but not one of the tougher ones. This problem with the wheels has happened very rarely. And when it does, whether it’s a local shop or a zumiez, they’ve always gone to bat for me or gave me a new pair because something like that shouldn’t happen day one of skating wheels. Although he reached out to the rep for me, he didn’t seem to want to help me out. The most he said he could do was give me 20% off and he would also keep the wheels. I obviously didn’t take the offer because the poor selection and the fact that he wanted to keep MY wheels haha. Why would I support a business that’s not genuine? All that being said, he’s a friendly guy. I just won’t be supporting this place again. Support a business who ACTUALLY cares. Make the hour drive and support Cinema skate shop in Charlottesville."
