"Delightful birthday brunch for my nephew…Eggspectation did not disappoint. I used to frequent the BWI and Silver Spring locations, which are now closed. Imagine my surprise when I saw it pop up in Gambrills/Crofton. I only eat pancakes from 3 places, and Eggspectation is one of them. The Lemon Ricotta Pancakes are to die for…topped with that warm bourbon maple syrup and a side of Nashville hot sauce for my chicken breast…I am in heaven every time. It’s definitely an offering that can easily be two meals. If you’ve never tried it - thank me once you do :-)"

"My family and I went here this morning to have breakfast. I called and asked two questions. Could we make a reservation and if not, how long was the wait? The young hostess told me it would be a 15 minute wait and that there were no reservations. We got there five minutes later and the wait time got up to 25 minutes. They finally sat us at the smallest table. The four of us were so cramped. So, I asked the young hostess if we could move to an empty booth. She said they were holding it for a party of five. Lies! First of all, I thought you all didn’t take reservations. Four women came in and sat at the booth we had inquired about. Not only that, two other booths had become available. When our food got there, there was no where to place our food so the waitress asks if she should just come back later with the food. Why? So our food could just sit there being cold? I couldn’t even eat my food in peace. I ended up taking it home. Instead of focusing on making our experience a great one, they were more focused on cramming as many people in as they could. I received great service from the location in Ellicott City. But as for this one, I won’t ever be coming back here."

"I had one of their food items before and it was good, I believe it was the s’mores French toast. One of my family members wanted to try their crab cakes, so I went and ordered some and it was 45 dollars for three measly pathetic sized crab cakes. Absolutely ridiculous I mean what kinda food scam is this? I understand seafood is expensive but at least make your crab cakes the size of my whole hand… if you’re looking to try the crab cakes don’t, they didn’t taste good from what my family members said and they were smaller than my whole hand, and my hand is not even that big."

"Only had to wait 15 to 20 minutes for 2 which isn't bad considering we went on a Saturday morning. I ended up getting a Creamsicle drink which was pretty good. Strong but couldn't taste the alcohol which is what I like. And the frittata I ordered was great! Everything we ordered came out quick, hot and perfectly seasoned"

"Now here’s a place to rival Aunt Shirley’s in Annapolis but in Crofton which is really nice for the residents in our area. I’d say this is a little gem. The location is a little hidden since it’s partially hidden from the main road and there’s been a string of unsuccessful businesses in that building before them. But I’m glad it’s been looking successful so far! I came alone on a Tuesday AM. There were plenty of tables still available but started filling up as the morning wore on. I was seated at a mini-booth which was clean and comfortable. Kristen the bartendress came and got my order. Since I’d never been there before, she helpfully recommended several dishes and I chose the shrimp and grits plus a cappuccino with almond milk. The coffee was well balanced and it did take the shrimp and grits a little while to get to me. But it was worth the wait. It had good flavors, a decent portion and I had 5 plump grilled shrimp. The atmosphere was nice, I like the decor which is a clean modern farmhouse and industrial style with white, wood and black metal lights. Good no fuss service and tasty food. Plus I don’t have to drive far. I’ll definitely be back."
