"Takeout was delicious! This is definitely our favourite sushi place. We’ve been going to PIER99 for several years now. The Spicy Tuna, Eel Avocado and Dragon Roll is Amazing. It has the perfect amount of crunchy yet soft texture and savoury taste. The spice was on-point and wasn’t too overbearing. Would Definitely Recommend!"
"At Pier 99 the food is amazing! When you go, make sure you don’t eat with your eyes because they give you a lot and when I mean a lot, I mean a lot of food. The rolls of the sushi are big and fat, succulent and fresh. Just make sure that you get at least two rolls to start with and then take it from there. If you do not eat a piece of sushi, that’s a dollar extra added to the end of the bill. Overall, I would say that the value for the money is spot on a place to bring the family and have a nice lunch or dinner. Also, on weekdays, they have a lunch break at 3:30 PM so if you try to go around that time you’ll be disappointed."
"Disappointed! Based on the reviews, I had high expectations but, this place really let me down. Like any other buffet, it's mediocre food :( The spring rolls were the best thing I had. The calamari was coated nicely (excellent crunch) but the calamari itself was overly chewy. I tried two rolls - the Demon Roll and the Godzilla Roll. Both were bland; flavorless. Think of it as the same quality sushi that you can get from your local grocery store. The question that people often ask me is "would you go again" and "would you order that again"? Yes, I'd go again, *if* someone else *really* wanted to go. No, I wouldn't get either sushi roll again. I wouldn't get their calamari. But, I might get the spring rolls again. I'd be willing to try some of their other sushi items but, I'm in no hurry to return. Pictured: Calamari, Spring Rolls, Demon Roll (left), Godzilla Roll (right)."
