"Food was mostly good, portions were HUGE, but very heavy. The rockfish was okay but a little disappointing to be told by the server that it was boneless while I found many small bones in it. The seasoning of the rockfish was also like your typical seafood seasoning which I was not a big fan of - a little too salty and not juicy enough. The seafood seasoning honestly overpowered the flavor of the rockfish itself. Other than that, pretty decent place, has a venue downstairs for large events, and the event coordinator Brian is a very kind and helpful person. They really care about making your event special and will try to work with you to make sure you get a great value."
"Blue Dolphin has been one of my favorite restaurants for years, but last night's experience was borderlineawful. I ordered the salmon tacos that were supposed to have cabbage on them but instead had lettuce and tomatoes. When I mentioned it instead of them redoing the order they brought me out a plate of raw cabbage to "fix it myself. " Unacceptable. Also, there was hardly anyone there but the service was SO SLOW! We waited 15 minutes before anyone even came to take our drink order. The server was very nice, but a little too chatty with everyone, which I believe slowed down the service. I don't think my friends and I will be going back for a while. DISAPPOINTED."
"This place was enjoyable. Went on a Wednesday afternoon for lunch with my parents after neighbors recommendation. Upon entrance, it was clean and hostess was helpful. The layout is spacious and there’s plenty of space between tables. The food was great. I ordered the salmon and I didn’t want seafood for days as it was a large plate of food. Everyone goes for the crab cakes and although I don’t eat crab, it was a big size and was stuffed to the brim with crab. The service was great. Bathrooms are very clean (which also tells a lot about an establishment). Prices were decent and aligned with the amount of food. Not cheap and not expensive. Definitely would frequent again."
"We went to the 1 in DC. ASHLEY was great. She made sure our visit was fun. The oysters and crab cakes are awesome. Basically everything was very good. I would definitely recommend this place if you're looking for a family environment and the prices are $$$. Tips inclued on bill."
