"Went here for the first time hoping for good results after all the great reviews. Unfortunately it was not a good experience for me. I worked with Samra and asked for layers/face framing. While the layering looks good, unfortunately too thick of a blunt cut was done for the face framing (really it looks like overgrown bangs). It wasn’t really fixable as my only real option was to commit to the bang look and go shorter so everything could be evened out. What made it worse was It was so obviously a mistake and she didn’t apologize or acknowledge it. Rather she said it was because my right side has more hair? Anyone looking at this picture can see that is ridiculous. I’ll now be rocking this hair to my best friends wedding. Have to laugh so I don’t cry. Skip this place - too risky."

"TLDR: Ellie is the go to for all things hair. She’s quite frankly a magician and artist. She uses the perfect formulas and techniques so each time my hair is blended perfectly. I have no concerns, only trust when Ellie does anything with my hair. • In 2021 I moved to Northern, VA and needed a new stylist after doing my own hair for a while (Covid). By some hair stylist miracle I found Ellie at Et Jolie. I had no idea what to expect but was SO IMPRESSED with her work. I immediately trusted her after my first appointment. She had some repairs to do after months of diy hair experiments. She blends my color so perfectly; it’s so dimensional and perfect every single time. She’s honest about colors and cuts to make sure my hair looks 100% each time i.e. avoiding things due to my fine hair, suggesting techniques to lengthen time between touch ups. The science behind the formulas she uses for my blonde is beyond my comprehension - it’s magic. She’s also super fast! I have a lot of hair and hate sitting still for so long but she’s so quick and wonderful to chat with the time flies by."
