"Friendly, relaxed atmosphere. I've had Lucy cut my hair with amazing results. My hair tends to go flat and part at the back. I hadn't found the right cut to get the lift and shape I wanted until Lucy cut my hair. That was the first time that the lift and coverage held without product until it was time to refresh. Lucy a miracle worker. We will venture into hair color next! She's a good listener and is welcoming and warm. I highly recommend her."

And I have to say that Alysa Vega here at Looks is among the best I've ever gone to. I totally get why her appointments book out so far in advance; she should be highly sought after for her incredible skill set and fun personality. For a stylist so young, her skills and breadth of knowledge are really impressive. I've never had a stylist explain to me in such detail the "why" of the haircut, color, and styling process the way Alysa did. I heard other stylists asking for her opinions as well and she always knew the answers off the top of her head. Not only is she incredibly good at what she does, but she seems to genuinely have fun with it and no challenge is too big- not the length of my hair or the specific shade of purple I was aiming for! I am in love with the results of my curly cut & color with Alysa and would HIGHLY recommend her to anyone looking for hair services like these anywhere in the DMV area- well worth the trip!"

"I've been a customer at Looks Salon and Spa for 15+ years and have had a few different hairstylists (exclusively due to stylists leaving the salon). I've been a client of Emily C.'s for nearly 4 years and am incredibly pleased every time. I typically receive a partial highlight and a haircut, and during each service, Emily is thoughtful, thorough, and consistent. I often oscillate in the vision for my hair (darker in the winter, lighter in the summer), and she nails the color and cut every time. She even goes so far as to writing down my specific glaze/toner so we can easily track things that I like over the years. Emily is the reason I still make the 30+ minute drive despite having moved away from the Columbia, MD, area. I highly recommend her if you're looking for a patient, consistent, and thorough hairstylist in the central MD area!"
