"When it comes to Japanese Cuisine, Guy San is one of the better restaurants in Arlington. From the moment we walked in to a loud greeting from the staff we had a fantastic experience with great vibes and great service. The food came out fast and tasted so fresh. The Crystal Dumplings were definitely a favourite, but everything we had was delicious and I would have no hesitation recommending all of it. We will be back again to try the BBQ!"

"What a great experience! The food was all amazing, and we loved the atmosphere. Great for a date night. Mark was a fantastic and attentive server. We loved all the food, and look forward to going back to try more of the dishes. We forgot to take pictures of the Shishito Peppers but they were a fantastic starter, cooked perfectly with a hint of wasabi, along with the Miso Soup. The Kanpachi Jalapeno was our first time trying yellowtail, and it was delicious. The Wagyu Fried Rice was decadent, and the Tuna Toro Explosion Roll was some of the best sushi we've had, and it's one of the main reasons we can't wait to go back to try more of their sushi rolls. All of the yakinaku was delicious, and we especially liked the Kalbi and the Top Blade. Next time we'll definitely focus more on their sushi offerings, but for our first visit we were very impressed!"

Our evening began with a visit to the bar, where we enjoyed some drinks and indulged in the delicious takoyaki. The atmosphere was cozy, and it was a great way to start our special night. As we made our way to the dining room for the Japanese BBQ experience, we were excited to explore the offerings. The Wagyu, as expected, was absolutely divine and melted in our mouths. But it wasn't just the Wagyu; the Kalbi and top blade were equally delectable. What sets Gyu San apart is their variety, including options like tripe and beef tongue, which we enjoyed. What made our visit even more memorable was the engaging and friendly staff. We had delightful conversations with both the bartenders and our waiter, and it was a pleasant surprise to discover that our waiter had attended the same high school as my husband, though not at the same time. The option to have nori or red leaf lettuce on the side is a nice touch, allowing us to personalize our meal to our liking. However, the true stars at Gyu San are the cocktails. We opted for an Uber ride to fully enjoy the range of cocktails they offer. The lychee smash, old fashion, and salt and smoke were personal favorites – expertly crafted and bursting with flavor. The only drawback is the typical parking hassle in the area, with costs involved. It's worth mentioning that Gyu San shares owners with Gyu Shige in Mosaic, which is closer to our home and offers free parking. This connection is a great option for those who prefer a more convenient parking situation. Overall, Gyu San provided us with a memorable and delicious experience for our special occasion. The combination of top-notch cuisine, engaging staff, and a fantastic cocktail menu makes it a must-visit for anyone looking to indulge in sushi and Japanese BBQ."
