"This wonderful restaurant has left me the best impression! Hospitable hosts, our server, Jorge, was really friendly, knowledgeable about our food. From the starter to the dessert, the quality and tastes of everything was ON FIRE! Highly recommend the chef’s table experience, it was amazing to observe the hard work of everyone to create such as beautiful presentation in every dish. Everything was delightful, and the DJ was the cherry on the cake. Highly recommend!"

"Went here for a late birthday dinner. They did nothing to acknowledge it. Was running a little behind. Called in they said it was fine got there and table was given up. They then placed us near the kitchen which was ok but we couldn’t really see much of the ambience. Servers were decent kinda rushing in a way. Food was good definitely a couple highlights there. I do a lot of traveling and eat at great restaurants. This is no where near the top. It is overpriced for what it is. Better options for this cuisine in the DMV area IMO."

"Let me just say that Shoto DC lacks customer service when it comes to the staff that is at their front door. They are watching you from head to toe and there is no service with a smile . The management team rushes the wait staff with a micro management style that is unreal . The best dish for me is the Warm Churros, they are delicious . The lamb chops are good on their best day and so is the corn and sweet potato. They need to work on how they treat their employees because it is transferable to the customers . Oh, let me not forget how the speak to the guest . They need a lot of training ."

"Excellent meal and atmosphere. Our server was excellent as well. After reading the reviews about the dress code my group, including children, made sure to dress accordingly. However we saw a lot of underdressed people while we were there so it’s hard to know if the dress code is actually enforced or not. Albeit, this place is top tier. The cocktails were fantastic as well. My wife had the Chilean Sea Bass which was the best I’ve ever tasted."

"Love the Atmosphere and Food!! The live DJ nailed it !! I was celebrating my anniversary and the food + musical and the vibe of this place just did it for me!! I might come back to try their beef dishes !! Love everything I ate tonight!! The new take on edamame was cool !! The truffle on salmon and caviar on tuna melted on my mouth. The eel roll was good and the Ty all was surprisingly delicious!! I could taste the fresh sesame and the micro greens added to the complexity of the dish. The cocktail was very tasty too !!"
