"Saw the Great Gatsby last night and was blown away by the talent and the orginiality of a performance that was still loyal to the book! Amazing theater, very personal and close to the audience. Simple and adequate room and accomadation if you are wheelchair bound."

"Excelence in Theater! Saw a great performance of The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee. Went with family members of all ages. The show was superb. Everyone laughed and enjoyed this production. The show was perfectly cast with characters of all sorts and walks of life. This is a very beautiful old building that has been brought back to life to show the original beauty and charm of its time. It features colonial red brick walls, high ceilings with exposed pipes and ducts, and refinished original hardwood flooring. The feeling is magical when you are on site. During intermission, they had candy, water, sodas, and beer available for sale. The staff was helpful and welcoming. The theater and all its amenities were clean. The stage is small and intimate. Don't know exactly how many people fit there, but I would guess about 100 espectators. You can purchase tickets in advance. New Spire Arts is located in Historic Frederick directly across the street from the Weisberg Theater. Check it out. You'll be glad you did."

"My first visit here, from 2 hours away. Was blown away by the quirky warmth of the venue, the volunteers and the staff. I have seen Sweeney Todd 15 times, over the years. Starting with Angela Lansbury, on Broadway. This recreation was more than amazing. Sondheim would be proud. The intensity of the actors, the strength of the orchestra and the interactive effects left me comfortably numb at the end. I didn't want to leave. Thanks to everyone for giving this 73 year old kid another opportunity to enjoy the arts."
