"Read lots and lots of good reviews but Mario’s turned out to be kind of a disappointment. The Italian sausage sub had big potential but was soggy as hell. I ordered ahead over the phone and was told 15 minutes, and I picked it up about 5 minutes after it was ready, so this could be part of the issue. The 12” is huge, could feed 2-3 people. The flavor is there, would be so good if the bread wasn’t mush. Also ordered a plain pizza. Think school cafeteria style - meh. Overall worth a stop for the subs, just order inside and eat it while it’s hot."

"I’m 65 years old and I’ve been eating here since my parents bought sandwiches from this establishment. In terms of the sandwiches and pizza, they use the same ingredients as the original Italian owners, with the exception of the pizza dough. The pizza dough is not hand tossed and the dough they currently use taste like cardboard, but same ingredients. Lately, the sandwiches have been tasty as you can see in the photo, I ate half of a whole sandwich; same ingredients. Keep in mind they use RIBEYE and not those thin steakum’s like NY Chicken and the rest that claim they have the bomb SNC…. Na! This spot uses ribeye steak the ones you can buy from Florida ave market. I know cause I’m an c Merchant Marines cook and I’ve purchased ribeye sandwich steak from Florida ave market."

"Food was very expensive. Had (2) steak and cheese sandwiches. 1 of the steak n cheese sandwiches was a half and the other 1 was a whole sandwich. I paid $35.00 with no sides or drinks. Been eating here for over 30 year's. Not worth it anymore. The manager said they charge $2.00 per toppings. Pay close attention to your total and how much they charge you."

"Their food is great for a hole in the wall but some of the staff must be burnt out because they are not friendly at all. One of the ladies continued her work while I stood in her face for about 5 minutes before informing me the grill was closed and the guy was just on it. They could have just said that was the last order. I can give other bad experiences as well but this one was my reason to just let them go. I'll miss the fries."
