Olympian Village Motel

"Away from the hustle & bustle of the village. Had a very relaxing stay here during Americade 2023, the resort is under renovations but was very accommodating. The room was clean & comfortable, with the usual amenities (remember to bring your own coffee & filters though!) There is a small convenience type store across the street & a restaurant too. Wendy is the property manager, she "wears many hats" & went above & beyond to make our stay a pleasant one!"

"I absolutely love this hotel/motel. Rooms are quaint, some are rustic looking. You can have a 1 room, 2 bedroom and 3 bedroom room. Some rooms have fully stocked kitchens. I love this place with all my heart. Wendy, the property manager is absolutely amazing. Her kind heart doesn't know what to do for.you to make your stay a happy and peaceful one. She runs the place so well and lovingly. Always tries to please everyone. This was our 3rd year here and we will always come back and recommend this wonderful cozy hotel. Thank you Wendy for all you do!"

"My husband and I just returned from our second stay at the Olympian Village Motel and I felt compelled to give this hidden gem a five-star review, which I meant to do last Summer. We are of a certain age and have no children but I think there is something here for everyone. It is a quaint and rustic property with one, two and three bedroom suites and all look clean and well-kept. It contains a large pool, a recreation area with video games, etc., a picnic area with grills, a dock and a roped-in lake area for swimming. You can walk across the street to a great deli/store, Up North and get breakfast each morning and also a restaurant, Diamond Point Grille. This is ideal if you don’t want to drive to Lake George Village, which is a few miles away. It’s also located conveniently close to Bolton Landing, another tourist destination that contains shops and restaurants. The only group I could imagine might not fit in here would be young partiers who want to stay up all night and get loud, as it’s not really that type of place. However, I had a group of young people staying next door and I didn’t hear anything late at night. Wendy, the Motel Manager, goes out of her way to help make your stay memorable and comfortable. She is helpful and informative regarding the area and tries to accommodate any needs you might have. I really can’t praise her enough for her personality and work ethic. Lastly, I would remind everyone to bring bug spray as this is the Mountains and they’re out there but I have never seen an insect in the rooms. In summation, I highly recommend this property as a go-to when in Lake George!"

"Honestly, I don’t understand why this place has only 3,6 stars. Comparing to nearby hotels/motels in the same price range, this one is pretty good. There is huge clean pool, nice grill area, play room, great view to the lake. Some people complain that there is no beach - but there is smooth entrance to the lake and nice area with grass which I think is better. Much less mess. Anyway there is just few things that I think might be fixed to improve the quality: Piano and few machines in the playroom are broken and I think they should be fixed or replaced. Also bathrooms are really missing toilet bowl brush and maybe some shelfs to put toiletries on (in 2 queen bed rooms). Also some soap and shower gel (is pretty needed since there is pool/beach) dispensers would be great - there is only small bar soap with no holder, so everything gets messy. (Also nobody usually use whole soap, so it’s pretty wasteful). Refillable dispenser that you put on the wall can be solution. And also some power-wash for white plastic chair. Besides this little things, everything was great. Nice territory, close to the city. Very good!"

"The staff was decent. Upon arrival it took a minute for the manager to appear at the counter...I believe it's limited staff here so I felt the wait time wasn't too bad. The manager checked me in quickly, answered a few questions and was very easy to talk to. The pool was well maintained and my family enjoyed it. The grounds were well maintained as well and you can tell they are working to update things. The views at the beach were great, they have picnic tables and small swing set right by the water. We ate dinner out there and had an enjoyable time. The only, and main, issue was the room. The linens were washed with strong detergent or dryer sheets were used. General public wouldn't bat an eye at this but unfortunately it's an allergen for us. We broke out in hives and were itchy. We couldn't tough it out and had to leave. To the owners we'd offer that recommendation to revise the laundry detergent they use to a non-scented kind like most hotels do. Otherwise it was an enjoyable time."
