"Not impressed! My father was transferred to albany med upon at his suggestion for his partner to put a stint in his throat so he could swallow. It is going on a week now and he HAS NOT heard from Dr Favian nor has any member of my family. His partner who did the surgery has offered no answers as to what is wrong with my father who walked in to Albany med last Friday with his own abilities now a week later CAN NOT get out of bed on his own to use the rest room and is developing bed sores due to waiting 30 minutes to hours waiting to get cleaned up. He may be a good surgeon but that's where it ends. A week later and no answers and NOT A WORD from him to his patient or the family is appalling to say the least!"

"I was having problems with eating, swallowing and digesting food for more than a year and was misdiagnosed by other physicians as having acid reflux. After many tests and procedures, I had a referral to see Dr Fabian who reviewed my medical records and knew immediately that I was suffering with a much more serious condition. Dr Fabian sent me to a specific hospital and doctor for a procedure to rule out cancer of the esophagus and stomach. He performed a repeat procedure so that he himself knew exactly what he was in for when he did my surgery rather than to take the results and diagnoses of 2 previous procedures done by other doctors. Dr Fabian did a surgery procedure called Heller Myotomy at Albany Medical Center. He is one of only two thoracic surgeons in the area who do this procedure. He has the best bedside manner and cares very much about his patients and how they feel and what they think. He spends as much time with his patients as is needed. My first appointment with Dr Fabian was September 4th with a surgery date of September 24th. I could have been discharged the next morning, however, I felt I wasn’t ready to go home as I live alone and have no one to help me. I just wasn’t up for that after major surgery. I was discharged on Friday morning. I stayed 3 nights and had the best care from the entire staff therefore, I was ready to go home. I am home and recovering from my surgery and feel confident that my swallowing and stomach issues are resolved. I can’t thank Dr Fabian enough for all he has done for me. I am looking forward to my post-op appointment."

"Still on the mend but Dr. Fabian is a rare find these days. He made sure I understood and was comfortable with everything from my first test all the way through my surgery and release from the hospital.
