We were extremely grateful to the staff and hospital for the care I received I was on the fifth floor Mia, Katelyn, Lisa, Harmony, Jenna and Anna were all so very caring, compassionate and professional. After reading a few, not so good reviews, I didn’t know what to expect, but the care I received was exceptional and the hospital equally exceptional!!! Thank you Samaritan for making a stressful time a positive one!!"

"I have never been treated so poorly at a medical facility in my entire life. If you have a medical emergency I would recommend you RUN from this place as fast as you can!!! I had traveled from Florida to Albany, by myself, on 11/1 for a wedding. On 11/2 I woke up deathly sick. On the morning of 11/3 the hotel & my husband (still in Florida) made the decision to call 911 & the ambulance transported me to this nightmare facility. The EMT's took me to the waiting room. I was in very bad shape & could not even sit up in a chair. The staff at the ER couldn't care less how sick I was. I begged for help! After several hours of waiting, crying & begging for help I approached the window several times to beg to be treated. I warned them that I get dehydrated very easy and wasn't even offered a sip of water at all. I tried to lay down on a coffee table in the waiting room because I was too sick to even sit up. I was told by the staff that an "ambulance ride to the er is just "a free ride to ER". I cried that I could not even stand up and asked to just be taken back to my hotel room. I was offered a bus schedule!! I had no idea where I was! I was in my pj's and it was freezing cold outside! I could hardly even stand up never mind attempt a bus ride somewhere!! At one point I told the people at the window I was dying & I was told "that is unfortunate but you need to go back to the waiting room". At another point I collapsed to the floor, crying. Security approached me & demanded I get up. I told him I could not & he said to me "you got down there you can get up!" I was not even offered a helping hand to get up. I ended up having to wait over 4 hours to be seen. I ended up having to go back to this ER FOUR times before they diagnosed me correctly & treated me properly!! Had they had listened to my symptoms the first or second time I would not have had to return 4x!! On my 3rd trip to this ER I was being discharge at 5am & the facility was completely empty. I was at the front door waiting for my husband to pick me up (he had to leave me at the ER so he could get some rest) I asked to sit in the chair by the front door so I could see when he pulled up. The hotel was less than 5 miles from the hospital and Cassey would not allow me to sit there "just in case someone came in"! When I asked for her name so I could report this she refused to tell me and even covered up her name tag!! They literally had me waiting outside, sick as a dog, freezing cold, in my pjs. I wouldn't return to this facility if I was dying in Albany, NY. I had to wonder to myself if this is why Albany, NY had so many deaths during CV-19. The staff is heartless & extremely uncaring & completely unprofessional!! I am disgusted!!!"

"I went to Samaritan hospital because I broke my nose boxing. It only took about 15 minutes for me to actually get in. The nurses right off the bat could tell me blood pressure was high because I was anxious. The nurses and staff were very nice and in hospital terms I would say got me “in and out” in just a couple hours. Highly recommend."

"Last night I went to the samaritan hospital Albany memorial campus in emergency department with my 7 months baby. She got ear infection and I'm giving her antibiotics since Monday but last night she was crying a lot because of earache. She cried 40/45 min nonstop, so I took her over the emergency. I went at 3am and leave the hospital at 6 am. I was waiting for the doctor but there was no provider. There was a nurse even she didn't came to see. Her name is Jacqueline q and she is an RN . She is not helpful at all. I understand may be she is tired but we were over there for my baby's treatment not for time pass. We ask for the doctor several time but she answered rudely , feels like we were disturbing her. When we ask her is there any doctor available in the floor because we are waiting for long time it's 3 hours now, she answered ''everyone is waiting for long time some people is waiting for 8/9 hours''. She was so rude. She doesn't know how to behave with the patient or their families. She even didn't say sorry for the inconvenience matters we were suffering. She is not professional like a RN suppose to be. Lastly we leave the hospital without treatment."
