"Very scenic pull-off in Stuyvesant with picnic tables. There’s a gravel drive down into the water where brave souls dare to launch boats here. It’s free. It’s tight trying to turn a vehicle and trailer to back down the “ramp”. Also it’s loose gravel the whole way, so you’d better have 4x4. I’d only recommend carrying car-top boats down to the launch. Also look out for Amtrak trains. They come through here at over 80MPH, which may be too fast to trigger the RR crossing lights/arms. Look both ways, pray, and floor it across the tracks!"
