"This place is amazing for food, but sadly not very friendly to those with mobility issues. There was no way my wheelchair would be able to navigate in here, and the walker was iffy. A Cane would be OK. One level is up 3 stairs with no access. On the bright side, the staff was very willing to help (my husband was with me so we didn't need it). This place has always been one of my most favorite "holes in the wall"."
"I really like this place. Looking through the selection of items and reading their labels, which were thankfully printed in multiple languages that included English, made me feel like I was stepping into a shop from their country of origin. The woman who was working spoke English, she was not 100% fluent, but I don't know enough about the many languages of the region she is from to be able to identify which country they are from. I meant to ask, but my daughter was being impatient and was trying to rush me out the door so I did not get to ask. The service was great and the tea selection was pleasantly different than what I have found at local grocery stores. We purchased quite a few different types of tea and I will definitely be shopping there again. Thank you."
"My Macedonian wife is so happy that this store exists, helps her feel at home when she can eat some familiar food. I’ve heard about some recent comments people made about the owners being of Russian descent. Please understand that, just like Americans do not always approve of what our government does, neither do the Russian people! Thank you for the wonderful food!"
"Went here over the summer when my husband and I first moved to Maine and were craving Balkan food. The Russian lady was very nice and things were a good price. They have a very excellent variety of European food and I was very happy to see so many of the foods I grew up on. If distance wasn't issue, I'd be here weekly. Can't wait to come back, thank you for having this type of store in Maine!"
