"Generally speaking a very good branch of this store. The butchery is small so dont expect your prime cuts to come from here. The fishmonger is better though, and usually has a good selection and good prices. Veggies are standard."

"This is not where food comes from, folks. It may be where we go to acquire it, but it comes from farms and fields in lots of other places. Support your local farms and bakeries. Buy your dragon fruit and cereal here."

"Have always been a Hannaford shopper but have been disappointed lately. Less Hannaford brand items on the shelves and deli always closes early. I've found that Market Basket may be the better option. More items on the shelves and much better prices."

"Some of the employees like to start drama with customers. Not really a good idea if you have an emoyee get off shift, leave to go grab a friend, then proceed to head beck to Hannaford to try to attack a shopper for reasons that they probably have no real idea of. If you ask me Hannaford really needs to screen their potential employees better before hiring them, to prevent what could possibly be a very dangerous situation. That would end up looking really bad for their business reputation. Besides that though it's a decent place to do your groceries. Prices are becoming better than Walmart. Food is fresher than most stores. I enjoy the fact that they have locally grown produce as well as local small business items on the shelves. It's a great way to offer more and better variety. Most employees are friendly and understanding. One thing I think could be a little different is the vitamin selection. There should be a bigger selection other than the little bit that's on the wall in the back of the store. The bakery is very helpful too. I ran into a situation with a birthday cake and it's design. And the baker was really nice and understanding. She took care of the my situation without hesitation but with a smile. It's people like her we could all learn a thing or two from. Her manners were on point, her customer service skills were excellent, very respectful, and seemed genuinely happy to help me in my situation."

"When I used to live in Westbrook this was my favorite grocery store, moved into Portland and have a different Hannaford close by. Went in to buy coffee which I always get Starbucks but then saw a different brand on the self which I thought I’d try. Turned out to be almost 3 months expired, as a thoughtful person I went in to talk with the manager because I didn’t notice until I drunk half of it and experienced food poisoning. The manager was very understanding and offered a $10 gift card. I give it 3 starts because I’m concerned they might be good or drinks that’s bad still sitting on the aisle, the stockers or associates need to do their job right. I’m counting on you to provide good up to standard service and food."
