Champs Sports

"Have been going to champs sports for several years now purchasing Nike sneakers over the past five or six years. For some reason the quality of the Nike shoes have left me disappointed. I've had to return several pairs of shoes for a popped bubble and the inner sock detaching from the tongue type issues all within the two-year Nike return policy. Nike specific return policy is that if the retail location you purchase your shoes from are willing to take the shoes back and exchange right there. They'll do that. If they're not, you're stuck putting your old shoes in a box and waiting over a month to find out if Nike will give you a return and then wait several more weeks to get your actual shoes back. On top of that with supply chain issues, it took me several months of calling the store every few weeks to find out if they had the specific pair of shoes that I wanted in the size and color that I wanted when they finally did. I grabbed my old shoes and the shoebox with receipt which was approximately 10 months from initial date of purchase. Went back to the store to be confronted harassed and questioned by the manager as to the reasons why I was bringing them back and then after explaining having him tell me we don't take shoes back after 45 days. Got on the phone with nike in front of me where the Nike representative had explained that if the retail location refuses to take them back, I'll have to mail them. I was communicating through the business section of Google maps and it doesn't seem they really give two squats about the customers that want their shoes back. Nobody wants to wait several weeks to do a return and the previous manager who is very friendly. Told me it doesn't cost them anything. They just put it back into the mail in the shoe boxes back to nike. Needless to say, because of this change, I will never purchase another pair of shoes at champs sports and I hope this review prevents many people from buying shoes at a retail location that's authorized to sell shoes that have a 2-year warranty on them but won't deal with the customers because apparently it's not a profitable.."

"So I bought a pair $200 Nike sneakers from champs sports in Colonie Center. Everyone knows that you have to break your sneakers in and it’s usually a week or so after nine days my sneakers felt a little tight on the side. I go to champs sports to exchange them to get a wider sneaker and the girl I spoke to there was very rude. She told me that she couldn’t take the sneakers back without the box who saves the box so I continue to tell her just give me the other pair of sneakers and you can keep that box to put these sneakers back in. She was kind of rude and as I was talking to her another associate that work there walked up to her and she turned her back to me unbelievable. Little does champs sports know I work for a large school district here in the city I will be informing our athletic Director to tell our young men and women in our sports programs not to shop at champs sports save your money go elsewhere they do not stand behind our product…"
