"This is the first review I have ever written.. How does this place have these reviews? I went with my husband the other night, the waitress was incredibly unfriendly. Food / drink reviews: dirty vodka martini - 4/10, too much vermouth and only half a coup filled, like they split 1 martini between the 2 of us. our waitress called it a margarita, numerous times.. focaccia - 6/10, bread was hardly focaccia, more like a garlic bread. Taste was OK. duck tacos - 5/10, overcooked, dry, salty, and TINY for 2 $18 tacos (and I'm from Boston..), chowder - 8/10, this was actually very good but had no scallops or fish, mostly clams. BEEF SLIDERS- 1/10, these were the worst sliders I have ever eaten, my husband and I both agreed. The bread was so dry it must have been a week old, it fell apart when you bit into it, the cheese had no flavor, the burger had no char and was cold and completely raw inside (and I like my burger on the rawer side!!). We each had 1 bite and could not even take another. The waitress noticed the picked apart raw meat was completely uneaten and she didn't ask if everything was OK, just cleared our plates and brought the check. I realize standards are different from a major city to a small Maine town but this place has no business putting out food this bad especially when we were practically the only people in there. Maybe the good chef works on the weekends but our meal was terrible, overpriced, and we won't be going back. A real shame, Bethel was due for another restaurant and this one won't make it to 2025."

"Absolutely amazing food and incredible service. Tried what seems to be half the menu and can’t wait to try to the rest in the future."

"I am so glad I walked down Main Street and saw this restaurant's attractive deck and signage, because it did not show up in a Google search for Bethel (ME). I sat on said deck and everything looked so novel and appetizing that I ordered three smaller plates. The coconut curry soup came first, and it was so beautiful to look at with the flowers and pepita garnish. The texture was perfectly creamy and the taste struck a delightful, delicate balance. The bruschetta was next: so light and refreshing, again replete with a perfect harmony of flavors. The next dish to arrive to table was the brussel sprouts, and they were roasted and seasoned to crispy delicacy. Service was great, too. Highly recommend!!!"

"We were staying in Gorham, NH and discovered Salt (local restaurant in town) had closed down. There were no other places with top notch craft cocktails or the upscale food options we were looking for. We didn’t want pizza or BBQ with Gorham being limited with dining options. The host at our B&B recommended taking a 25min drive to Bethel, ME and going to explore the historical section of town that had shops and restaurants. After looking online in Google Maps, Mountain Social Kitchen & Bar popped up with photos of upscale cocktails and decorative food items. Thinking this place was too good to be true, checking the hours of operations, it was indeed open! With plenty of parking on site, we were eager to see the inside of the place. It was beautiful with touches of rustic elegance all throughout making any of the rooms attractive to dine in. We grabbed seats at the bar which felt very cozy with dim lighting. Kelsey our bartender provided excellent service and was great to talk to while having cocktails and small bites. We started off with the Pineapple Express (Mezcal lovers try this) it was beautifully presented and tasted delicious with a light frothy foam on top. Next I tried Fennel Destination (Mezcal lovers try this) also equally as delicious and was light and airy with tastes from the tropics. I tried the Butternut Squash Coconut Curry Soup and it was by far the best I’ve ever had. Recently opening for lunch, Mountain Social was going to be the highlight of our trip with tasting excellence while away in the mountains. Kelsey let us know it had just become Happy Hour and it was $2.00 off specialty cocktails and there were small bites to choose from on the menu. This was even more exciting! We selected the Mussels which were great! For foodies and craft cocktail lovers, you will not get the quality, presentation or ambiance anywhere else in town. It was worth the short drive from NH to discover this gem. Everything was accordingly priced for fresh foods and ingredients. I went back and told our host to let all other guests know if they didn’t mind traveling outside of Gorham to Bethel, they wouldn’t be disappointed. On great weather days, this is the place to be to sit outside on the big patio and enjoy your experience of outdoor dining. I’d come back to Bethel just to eat and drink here. We were so pleased and thrilled to be able to find a place that matched our tastes and qualities we were looking for. 100% recommended for all occasions, you’ll receive nothing less of amazing hospitality and customer service."
