"Great customer service. Able to have an appointment mid week day after I called. Nice job on highlights and trim"

"I have been going to Kathy the owner for over 30 years. She is willing to do whatever I want and she gives a great cut. I get compliments on my hair all the time. I don't know about the people who gave bad reviews, in 30 years I have never seen anyone act rude or do poor work. I highly recommend the salon."

"First time there. Was greeted in a friendly and professional manner. Kathy cut my hair taking care to what was best for me and my hair very pleased with the outcome. Have been looking for a good stylist and believe I found the right one for me."

"I love Allusions. The owner is pleasant and professional. She makes sure that the salon is clean, neat and up to date and she is insures that customers are satisfied with their results. This is a cozy neighborhood salon without all the unnecessary shiny bells and whistles that drive prices too high. I have been a regular client for over 2 years and I have walked out of there feeling great every single time..they go above and beyond especially when you are preparing for a special event. I have developed friendships with the staff and they are attentive to my requests. My hair has been a fashion color for over two years along with a need for gray coverage and regular cuts/style maintenance. They will discuss possible alternatives if they feel that something would be difficult to achieve or too damaging to your hair but I have never walked out feeling like I got something completely different than what I asked for. I have not gone anywhere else since being introduced to Allusions and I doubt that I ever will. You get great results at a great price and friendly service!"

"My stylist was super friendly but not up to date on her skills at all, or just doesn't know what she's doing. I'm a hair dresser as well so I know when someone is taking their time and doing a good job or if they are rushing/not doing a good job. My mom and I both got haircuts. I asked for a shorter inverted cut with layers. I also asked for her to thin it and point cut so it wouldn't look thick and boxy. The haircut overall looked okay, but it wasn't inverted at all and was still very thick and not whispy like I asked. It was also uneven, which I pointed out to her and she still did not fix it. She did not check over the lengths at all to make sure everything was even which sucks because I can fix the front unevenness myself, but not so much the back. My mom asked for her hair to be thinned out with thinning shears and she was cutting straight into the middle of her hair shaft with them which is a huge no no and causes small pieces of hair to stick out (not cute). I even pointed it out to her, trying to explain a better method of thinning (the right way) and she continued to cut very close to her roots. Just seemed like she was rushing and careless, although it was not busy at all so there was no reason for her to even have to rush, which really sucks considering we paid $80 all together for both services. In my personal business I charge way less for haircuts and actually take my time, check over my work, and make sure my client is 100% satisfied with the results. Just a bit disappointing. I am not shocked, though, considering the majority of hair dressers I've encountered work in a very similar, careless, manor. I would think as a stylist you would want to be satisfied with the work you do on your clients and proud to attach your name to it, but I guess that's just me."
