"I had booked an appointment online with Kate at this salon after researching salons in the area and coming across Grit + Grace on Google. From the moment I walked in the door I was greeted with a smile, and even given a complimentary goodie bag as a new customer which also contained coupons which I thought was amazing. The overall energy and atmosphere was positive, and everyone had great attitudes. Kate really made me feel at home and comfortable and listened carefully to some of my concerns, and what I was looking for with my hair cut. Kate went above and beyond and blew my expectations out of the water. I left the salon smiling ear to ear feeling so beautiful and renewed. The salon and boutique are so adorable, and I wound up buying some clothing from the boutique which are super comfy might I add. Overall, this salon is top notch and I cannot wait to come back and have Kate continue to work her magic on my hair. Thank you for making my first experience one to remember."

"I had an appointment here to just get a bouncy blow out. I had photos to take with my family. When I called I asked for someone who’s was experienced with a blowout. The girl Maddie was who they booked my appointment with. Very early into my blowout I realized she has done very few of these in her life. There was no grip to round brushing my hair. And I was left with dry frizzy hair. I asked for her to run a curling iron through and when she grabbed the hairspray to spray my hair down before running a curling iron through I knew I had to walk out. I had very limited time to fix this and sadly I will not be back. Please make sure your hair stylist are capable to doing simple hairstyles like a bouncy blowout. I’ve done a 10x better job using my revlon blow dry brush . Super disappointing, will not be back."

"Kate at Grit + Grace is nothing short of phenomenal! I recently left my hair dresser of 10 years and if you’re in a similar boat, rest assured you’re in great hands with her. My first time there she gave me a trim and keratin treatment, which my old hair dresser wouldn’t do because I had “too much hair.” Kate said my hair was ideal for the treatment and it would help me significantly through the summer. She wasn’t wrong! I used to spend hours fighting my frizz and now my hair dries beautifully and requires minimum upkeep! A few weeks ago I had decided I was ready for a drastic change. I wanted a new pop of color and a Bob cut that I had wanted for years but, again, my old hair dresser didn’t want to do because my “long hair was too pretty.” Kate crushed it! I’ve gotten so many compliments on the cut. Full transparency, my hair absorbs toner like a sponge and the blonde highlights (a minimal part of the overall color) didn’t come out exactly how her or I expected. Again though, Kate was a rock star! She told me she would check in with me after a couple days to see how I was feel about the overall color and she did just that. At that point I had only washed my hair once and wasn’t sure that the color was or wasn’t what I wanted, so I asked if I could check back in the next time I washed it to which she said absolutely. After the next wash I decided I did want it a little brighter and Kate wasted no time fitting me in a few days later. I AM OBSESSED! Do yourself a favor and book your next appointment with her ASAP. She’s got a talent and personality combo that make your time at Grit + Grace a relaxing/therapeutic experience. Thank you again Kate!"

"I really wanted to give this salon a good rating. The store was beautiful and the people were friendly. I came here to get a hair cut from a level 3 stylist and even though she was very caring and asked a lot of questions regarding my hair cut, it turned out to be a disaster. I had many layers in my previous style and she agreed to mimic it. She cut and styled it (blow out) before asking if I wanted to change anything. At that point, it’s almost impossible to see the true shape of the cut. So it looked really good right there and then. Here’s what I have to grow out: my right side is completed disconnected from the other half. There’s barely any layers. It looks like an unskilled person took a pair of scissors and cut it straight across the bottom part. I have natural waves and even that can’t hide the terrible job. Mind you, this is a $60 hair cut. And it is the worst I’ve had to date."
