Hudson Whaler

"My partner and I decided not to book with Hudson Whaler after my partner called for rates. The woman on the phone was unpleasant and seemed rushed (we were put on-hold twice). The rate quoted us for two nights was astronomical. We went to lunch at a lovely cafe on Warren and asked our waitress for a recommendation. She recommended The Maker. "You guys will love-love-love it!" she said. She was spot-on and we didn't pay an arm and leg. Skip the sinking ship and head to The Maker."

"Had a lovely stay at the Hudson Whaler in mid-December. The hotel is beautiful and in a great location. Our room was immaculate and comfortable and the front sitting area was a great place to rest and read. The people at the front desk and the cleaning staff were fantastic and very helpful! We will certainly return for another visit."

"Stayed one night, Thurs-Fri. Quiet, clean and perfectly located on the main strip. Hotel provides free parking. No complaints, we really enjoyed our short stay!"

"We had an excellent stay at the Hudson Whaler. We did an overnight for my birthday and it’s a great location to walk out on the main street with shops and restaurants. Check-in was easy and they allowed us to stay in the lot after we checked out, so we could keep exploring. We had a corner room that was nicely decorated and had all the necessities we needed and creatively used the smaller spaces. The interior of the hotel is gorgeous with beautiful wood paneling and stained glass windows. I do think the bed, while very comfortable, is a full/double and not a true queen. It was fine for us as we smaller people, but taller/bigger guests may want to select a king room. We had a laugh about the elaborate shower. The six heads seem luxurious, but they sprayed so violently past us we couldn’t use them. A nice concept, but doesn’t work in reality. Overall, a lovely, clean hotel with a nice lobby/lounge and friendly staff. We would stay again when back in town."
