St Charles Hotel

"My husband and I stayed at this hotel for the weekend. First we were not given the rooms we booked, we booked 6 rooms for an event we hold every year. We were told upon arrival that they tried to reach us several times, but there was nothing on our phones to show they did!! We were told we couldn’t have what we asked for cause the cleaning lady was out with COVID!!! So I guess there is only 1 person to clean the entire Hotel!! This is the second time we got a room where the Tv didn’t work, the first time the volume kept getting louder on its own and this time the remote didn’t work and there’s no buttons on tv to do anything. The manager told us he needed code for remote and would get it the next day, he did not and told us they were closed cause its was Sunday meanwhile it was Saturday and said he would take $20 off the bill??? We had to move rooms several times, room was filthy, when moved to a new room there was a door in the room with no lock. When asked they said it had a lock on other side and is ok cause whoever was on other side were ok??? So we ended up back in a disgustingly dirty room!!! There is NEVER anyone at the front desk and breakfast is not out when it’s suppose to be!! Very disappointed with this Hotel and will never stay here again!!!! I do not recommend this place to anyone!!!!"

"It's a cheap hotel at the end of Warren St. The room and lobby were dated, so it's not very glamorous. It's an old building. I'd stay again for the affordable, clean beds, and the staff were super friendly."

"I came here while on a bike packing trip up the Empire State Trail. I realised I wouldn’t be able to reach my campsite by nightfall and needed a place to stay. The owners at St Charles were kind enough to offer me a discount despite it being a Labour Day weekend. Furthermore they let me take my bike into my room and gave me some muffins to start the next day despite me needing to leave before breakfast was officially open. I can say that owners treated me very well that the hotel is within walking distance of lots of restaurants on Main Street. The hotel itself is simple and no frills, which is exactly what I was looking for. I’m happy I came by here."

"My girlfriend and I were celebrating an anniversary and needed somewhere to stay in the area for the night. The hotel was very reasonably priced for the area and was cheaper than most Airbnbs we could find. The owners were lovely and made sure we had everything that we needed. When we would come back from spending some time at local restaurants and exploring the area they would always ask if we needed anything. It’s clear that they care about the customer and their experience. The room was clean and spacious and there were plenty of breakfast options available as well. I will definitely be staying here again!"

"My husband and I stayed for 2 nights earlier this week and had a great experience. MD (the manager), could not have been nicer! Very accommodating and kind. Each time we passed through the lobby, he asked if there was anything he could do for us or anything we needed. This is an older hotel, but extremely clean and the beds (and bedding), are top notch. There were many choices for breakfast and the location was perfect for walking to all the shops and restaurants. We would most definitely stay here again and highly recommend it!"
