"Vintage was on our list to try and last night (Thursday) we finally made it. Unfortunately it wasn't what we expected from a steak house. The rib eye was excellent but portion was small, martini was room temperature, atmosphere was dull, and the fish special (White fish over white wine risotto and lump lobster) was really dry and over done. Saving grace was the service. Mario was excellent and very accommodating."

"Unfortunately it seems as if you're not a regular/on a first name basis, you will not be taken care of. Hostess lied that everyone at the bar area had already ate dinner and is now having a drink. She then proceeded to seat all said people table by table. After waiting 25+ minutes we decided to leave. Previously ate there a couple months prior and the steak was good, appetizers not so much. Tables are packed too close to each other. Most likely will never go back, significantly better restaurants in the area with stellar service. (Insignia, Paces, Osteria Umbra). Sadly for vintage they lost very good potential reoccurring customers. I guess you get what you pay for!"

"We have a group of about 8 friends that all taught together for about 35 years. We are all retired for at least 10 years. The gathering is put together and we meet at different steakhouses in our area. Vintage always gives us a great table and treats us with a lot of attention. You can guarantee your meal will come out piping hot and cooked to perfection, the side dishes are delicious as well . We have a great evening of conversation and rememberance. We enjoy the atmosphere. The employees are warm and friendly."

"My wife and I have dined at Vintage a minimum of 4 times a year for the past few years and have never been disappointed. One of our "go-to" places for great drinks, food and atmosphere. Tonight we invited good friends to share the experience... Although the service was excellent, the porterhouse for two was terrible...fatty, undercooked (even for being medium-rare) and so tough (and chewy) that it was difficult to cut with a serrated steak knife. This is definitely not the quality one would expect from a premium steak house. I should have asked to speak with management or the owner (I believe his name is Micheal, as I met him once before) but out of not wanting to make an issue in front of friends I choose against. My feeling...when you are paying premium prices, you should get nothing more than premium service. We definitely did not get what we paid for..."

"The Ravioli with pesto sauce was light and creamy, absolutely delicious. I could eat it everyday. Wagu special was beyond delicious. It almost melts in your mouth. The porterhouse was better than most NYC steakhouses I've been to. Cooked perfectly, outside nice and crispy while still rare and juicy inside. While the service was very good, it was not what I would expect from such high-end steakhouse. The lady that sat us was extremely pleasant."
