Sort of a weird place, half of the staff seems enthusiastic and ready to help customers the other half have a look in their face like they're in purgatory and are not very helpful. Its a big beautiful store but the inventory seems limited Long story short did leave happy and with what I wanted"

"I had the worst experience ever at this store, and I truly felt deflated and unwelcome by everyone there. My intention was to buy four coats that I had seen online, but my visit turned into a frustrating ordeal. I walked into the store and looked around for the coats on my own. After circling the store several times with my 8-year-old child, who wondered why no one offered to help us, I began to notice that the associates were in huddles and seemed to be actively avoiding me. One of them was on the phone behind the elevator, seemingly oblivious to my confusion. When I managed to speak to someone, she spoke down to me and told me, almost dismissively, that I should go to "one of those little stores uptown" because none of the items I had seen online were available in-store. The only person who showed any willingness to assist me was the security guard at the front. I ended up spending three times as much as I had initially planned at Canada Goose, just a few blocks away. The North Face brand holds sentimental value for me, as I've been wearing their products for 30 years. However, this experience left such a bitter taste in my mouth that I will never forget it. It made me feel like I must have a certain appearance for my money to be accepted, which is truly disappointing and disheartening."

"I would like to take a moment to tell you the many reasons why your store in Midtown Manhattan is miserable: 1: You are the ONLY store on 5th Avenue that closed early (5pm) day before Thanksgiving, the one day that thousands of visitors like myself may have been looking to purchase a warm winter coat for the parade. 2. Your holiday hours are no more convenient than any other store’s regular hours. 3. Your employee are not educated on your products. I spent 5 full minutes trying to explain what “heated gloves” only to give up. 4. Today is the Saturday after Thanksgiving, there are not enough employees in the store. There is NO sense of urgency, and we have been waiting in line FOREVER to pay for our purchases. You can do better."

"There is a big problem with North Face rain jackets. They are NOT waterproof. (See pictures.) I tried two North Face rain jackets and both were letting water in at the shoulders. What’s the point of buying a rain jacket if it’s not waterproof? North Face is charging a lot of money for something that’s not even fulfilling its #1 basic function. It’s on the verge of being scammy. Customer service at this store was great, really friendly, kind staff, with the exception of the Assistant Manager, Cynthia, who was strangely rude and unprofessional. I’m not sure why. She said they can’t see by the pictures that the jacket is letting water in. It is quite puzzling indeed."

"The North Face is a popular clothing store with lots of Winter clothing, They have 2 floors of Stuff and they sell good quality bags as well. If you buy anything such as bag, shoes, hood, jacket, or backpack, you can return it in 60 days. The Staff are very good people, they are well-trained and hospitable. The Store on 43rd and 5th Avenue opens at 10 am. They use two floors for their merchandise and it is always full of new stocks. Most time, people think you can only pay downstairs, but you can pay upstairs as well, because if they don't tell you, you won't know there is payment upstairs. Enjoy your shopping here and relax to feel at home at any given time."
