"I've been a long time customer of The Maker. As a NYS UI I have gone to alot of places, I recently spent time researching gluten free restaurants in Manhattan and the surrounding 5 boroughs. I spend over $100 on each meal, usually out of pocket, to look into each individual restaurant. What I can say: The Maker has an atmosphere that contests the museum of natural history for architecture. The Maker has the best bartenders depending on the month in the world. (Please stop touching my mint julep V & L so I can stop tipping them so high!!!) The Maker has the best staff I have ever seen in my 33 years. The Maker does not have good food! (Sorry V & L) . The dinning facility of the Maker has godlike architecture. Throughout the facility all paintings are rotated in and out; they are all hand painted and while I cannot confirm the author the strokes are fantastic. When visiting The Maker appreciate the sublime architecture and Edgar Allen Poe to Van Gough aesthetic while understanding the food (not drink) menu attempts to replicate the current trends of the Hudson Valley area, which in turn farm to table prices might not represent all the chefs (I worked with them all and certify rotations for statical analysis) However, I put every bartender through an almost absurd level to replicate any cocktail i can imagine and if you instruct them according to my high professionalism they always follow through."

"One of my very favorite places in the world. Following the closure of the NoMad bar in Manhattan- this and Temple Court are your next best bets. The beautiful, rich architecture is enchanting, the cocktails are on par with many NYC greats and the food was spectacular. See for yourself. An absolute must for anyone visiting within a 30 minute radius."

"Getting to the lounge was a bit confusing so let me break it down.... There are three distinct places...gps took us to the Cafe from the makers lounge website... From which I understood there was two place Cafe n lounge.. But there is three! Must get to all three from separate entrancea outside. ->The makers lounge... What a great lounge! Speakeasy style, dim lights, amazing drinks and service from bartender Tommy... Foods also delicious. We got the pasta with lamb ragu $31, grass fed burger with fries $24,panna cotta $17 and a bunch of drinks! Everything was great! ->the makers Cafe... Which also serves drinks & food (only one with specials tho... Monday oyster n bubbles for two , tues burger n beer, n thurs-Sunday steak frites) Cafe atmosphere lots of windows little tables.. We got the oyster and bubbles for two special. Great they actually serve these without lemon ( great considering my lemon allergy) and a mignonette sauce only note they do not have a cocktail sauce for this.. Only thing my hubby would change. They were fresh and served on ice. ->the makers restaurant.. Only open on the weekends"

"Incredible cocktail bar. Staff were extremely friendly and attentive. Came here on a cold December night and it was perfectly cozy. What we ordered: Gin Fizz, Paradiso, Passionfruit sour, and fries ; everything was delicious."

"Absolutely lovely experience. Beautiful decor and executed cocktails. Calm and cozy cocktail atmosphere. Would love a bit more story in regards to the cocktails and the experience, especially with the fragrance selections. We will revisit, it's beautiful, drinks are excellent, staff is kind, it's definitely special."
