"Stopped in to see if they had a restroom since I was working on the island. After spending money at the establishment I asked if there was a restroom one employee said it’s out of order. I said no problem so I thought for giggles let me ask the individual who was doing inventory young tall fair-skinned kid and he says they do not have a bathroom at all. I laughed as he walked away. Unfortunate how people lie. Stay away from this place."

"Visiting friends on the island and wanted to arrive with produce for our stay. The prices were shocking, significantly higher than prices in NYC! $4 for a box of generic pasta, $9 for 8oz Philadelphia cream cheese, $10 for 12 jumbo eggs... Look we understand it costs more to run a store on an island, but 50-100% as much? It is deeply unfair to take advantage of a monopoly on an island and steady supply of wealthy customers to price gouge those who are not wealthy. If you can possibly do so, shop off island and bring the food with you. You will save upwards of 50% across the board. The quality and variety is good, so no complaints there."

"This is such a funny/lovely little grocery. It reminded me of the small town grocery store from the 2007 flop, "The Mist." It also has shockingly good music playing throughout the store. I found myself dancing several times in the aisles only to catch of a glimpse of several other shoppers doing the same. What a riot!"

"Heroes of the weekend! We recently had a three day event on Shelter Island and IGA was our saving grace for all needed supplies and catered staff meals. Absolutely amazing, go to them for any of your needs. Thank you again!!"

"I go there all the time for groceries but just last week used it to cater a party. I am beyond happy. 40 pieces of fried chicken, done to a turn, fresh as can be. I also served the bean and corn salad, cupcakes and peanut butter and chocolate cookies. All were a big hit with my guests. Great service. Reasonable price. I'll do that again."
