"I believe that in an emergency I would go back to this hospital. They are thorough and knowledgeable. But I don't love the robotic nature of the staff. It's hard to tell if they actually enjoy what they are doing. They are professional but kind of cold. They don't communicate well about time frames or how long you will be sitting waiting to talk to someone. However, my cat was deathly ill and now she is doing better because they know what they are doing. That is the most important part. Their bedside manner is not great, and it would make visits more pleasant if they worked on that."

"If I could leave more than five stars, I would. Dr. Kindred and her staff went WAY above and beyond for our husky who developed spontaneous double lung collapse. Dr. Kindred kept me updated constantly and one of her staff members (I wish I had gotten her name) even volunteered to stay behind past her shift to be able to accompany our dog in the pet ambulance that needed to be arranged (something Dr. Kindred did as well) for a transport to a different hospital. Absolutely amazing, lovely people all around, highly recommend."

"I am posting this review on behalf of my dad. Hello, I want to share a story about an Animal Specialty Center in Yonkers, located at 9 Executive Blvd. Three months ago, I took my dog there because she was sick. They admitted her and informed me she needed a blood transfusion and other treatments. I agreed and paid $6200 for three days of care. Initially, the dog showed improvement, but after a few weeks, she weakened again. The doctors couldn't determine why she couldn't retain red blood cells, necessitating another $1500 blood transfusion. Between these visits, I spent an average of $300 per visit. Three weeks ago, I contacted the doctor as the dog started having seizures, lasting 10 to 15 seconds. After an examination, they changed her medications, costing me around $2000. The dog improved briefly, then deteriorated again. I informed the doctor about the ongoing seizures, suspecting a possible blood clot from the transfusions. They examined her and three days before she passed, they attempted another transfusion, which sadly didn't help. As her condition worsened, she could only sleep and drink water. On the day she passed, she had several seizures, and when I rushed her to the hospital, they insisted on a $600 deposit. Despite already spending $12,000, I complied. The doctor mentioned a stroke in her neck causing the seizures, similar to what I had suggested earlier. Despite this diagnosis, they wanted to charge an additional $3500 to $5000, but considering the prognosis, I opted to take her home. It was evident that they were more focused on profit than genuine care. It's important to note that I don't blame the doctors or the staff working there. Instead, it's the corporation behind the hospital that prioritizes profit over compassion. Tragically, five hours after returning home, my beloved dog passed away while sleeping on my chest. It's heartbreaking to suspect that they prolonged her suffering for financial gain. This kind of practice is unethical and should be addressed for the sake of other pet owners who deeply care for their animals.""

"After learning about our dog Kaia’s cancer diagnosis and hearing from other vets about limited options to help her, we had a thoughtful vet from our clinic get in touch with ASC to speak to their oncology department and review her labs. ASC called me and said they could make time for me to bring her in, and that Dr. Ho was hopeful that Kaia could receive treatment to prolong her life. I was skeptical, but hopeful. We took Kaia in and Dr. Ho was fantastic. We started Kaia on a chemo treatment plan that we hope will give her several more months with us. They were completely upfront about costs, and potential costs. Further, Kaia loved everyone in the clinic and was totally at ease and relaxed under their care. We are looking forward to our monthly appointments and trust Dr. Ho and ASC completely as we head into these difficult months ahead."

"Dr. Ho took her time explaining my cat, Zorro’s treatment options to me. She devised a treatment plan after our discussion. Dr. Ho is up to date with all the latest technologies and treatment methods and is very caring. Kudos to Dr. Ho’s assistant, Briana. She is knowledgeable and caring. The entire staff that I interacted with are kind and courteous. I recommend ASC fully and without reservation!"
