"Worst customer service ever! I'm 32, and was never asked for ID there as in a regular customer, but one of the staff members suddenly decided to. I didn't have it on me as I have never been asked it there and I shop there almost every day. So she refused to sell me alcohol, even after I told her my DOB, and showed her a photo of my passport! Never shopping there again, as you gotta have a bit of common sense and humanity."

"I think it must be the smallest Sainsbury's Local in the whole UK. Friendly and helpful staff. Just essential things, nothing more. It's hard to find cold drinks in the hot summer weekends when people from outside the Richmond come along and buy everything before making picnic on the riverside."

"Genuinely the smallest Sainsbury’s I’ve ever seen (or any supermarket, for that matter). But a great place to go for short-notice small shops, like milk, fruit, bread, wine, toiletries, Marmite, etc, especially since the opening hours are very good. They’ve also got a small selection of things you could actually make into a proper meal (pasta & sauces, curry ingredients & sauces, fish & meat to cook, etc), but don’t have high expectations: the selection is very limited. Still, perfectly happy to have it in the neighbourhood."
