"The appointment was very rushed, granted it was towards the end of the day. However, I had visited with a confirmed appointment. The manicure was uncomfortable (what is with the poking and cutting of skin with rushed filing??), EXTREMELY poor quality, the shop was unhygienic with the manicurist reusing the previous customer’s acetone and other tools without cleaning. I am certain that these are absolutely not common or safe salon practices. Will not be returning and would urge others to stay away."

"First visit, definitely last. Would not recommend due to the unpleasant experience. The appointment was extremely rushed and there were way too many red flags. The technicians were clearly REUSING products (acetone, acrylic liquid/monomer) after having used it for a client (another client was there for a removal and I saw the tech pour back the acetone used for the SOAK OFF process in the bottle for the product, they also poured monomer back from the dish after using it for me into the main bottle). They also double booked and clearly did not have an appointment book to keep track of their bookings so rushed through to service everyone that was there. The prep was improper (nails were buffed but not dusted before tip and primer application?!) and the filing after acrylic application was extremely rough (my cuticles were super unhappy and had many direct contacts with the e-file’s teeth-y bit and I was genuinely worried about blood being drawn). The tips were also not applied properly and there are obvious gaps underneath between the tip and my nail. At no point we’re any tools sanitized, the tech used the same bit for someone else’s removal and then rushed to finish my nails and filed with the exact same bit. Additionally, because prep was improper (cuticles weren’t even pushed back), I see grow out within a week of application. Would give 0 stars if I could but 1 is lowest I could rate."

"Very disappointed in this place. I was a loyal customer but after my last experience, I will no longer be returning. I made an evening appointment and had my tips applied by a new member of staff. She was very inexperienced - she was putting the glue on my nail and then applying the tip on top, instead of putting the glue on the tip and then pressing the tip onto my nail (which is regular practice). Because of this, the tips were not applied properly, with gaps in the middle of tip where there was no glue. I pointed this out to her and explained that, if water got underneath, my acrylic would lift or the nail underneath could become infected. She asked Long (the owner, I believe) for help and he tried to convince me I didn’t need more glue by pushing the tips. I simply asked for more glue as I could see the gaps in the nail and the lady reluctantly applied it (didn’t know nail glue was so expensive…). She applied the glue to just 2 nails and, due to the nails being incorrectly applied, they began lifting after just 4 days. After the tips were applied, I had to wait around 25 minutes for Long to finish another customer’s nails for my acrylic powder to be applied. I don’t find this acceptable when an appointment has been booked. I’m guessing this is because the lady had not yet learned to apply acrylic. I asked for a specific shape which Long was not able to accommodate - certain nails were of different shapes and lengths and the nails in general were thick and wide. When I raised this with him, he got very impatient and rough. I understand it was a late appointment and he may have been working since the early morning, but I don’t believe this is acceptable. Perhaps he should consider closing earlier so he is able to offer good customer service to all customers. Long then proceeded to do the nail art I had requested (which I had shown to both him and his colleague at the start of my appointment and they confirmed he could do for £37). The nail art was messy and the type I would expect from a nail shop charging £10 for acrylic nails. It did not look the picture I had shown. I let Long know I was not happy with it and he asked what I was unhappy about. I appreciated him trying to understand what he could improve, however the nails looked no better after his attempt. He said he could not do the nail art - I asked him if his colleague could as I had my heart set on this specific design. He said as he was the best, if he could not do it, it couldn’t be done. I settled for an easier design but note that I had to point out parts of the design which were messy and needed to be fixed before I was willing to pay. I found it disappointing that Long had agreed to do a nail art design which was not within his capability - had he said no, I could have gone elsewhere to get my nails done. I also found it surprising that the nail art was so poor as, during previous discussions with him, he said his nail shop was more popular than another close by as he was able to do nail art designs. I was unhappy with the design but had to settle as we were now 2 hours in and I was tired of correcting them! After washing my hands, the female assistance proceeded to put cuticle oil on my knuckles (?) which again proves her inexperience. When I politely pointed this out, she was rude and abrupt. I paid £30 (which I believe is actually generous considering my experience) and let them know I was paying no more. The lady shouted in her own language to Long and appeared to be angry, however Long agreed to accept the £30 which I believe is a sign he knew he had done me a disservice. I am not a difficult customer in the nail shop and I felt as though I was made to feel like one by their actions. Overall, I have given this place 2 stars as Long and his brother are friendly (on a good day) and the shop is clean. However, if you want good quality nails worthy of their price and are hoping for a specific design, please go elsewhere."
