"appalling service, a family member of mine has used this service and whilst she is on holiday her dog has been kicked out after one night because the carer couldn't handle barking and the fact the dog jumped up for food. as a result I have had to take the dog off another family member, which is fine but there was no consideration or compassion from the company. they demanded the dog be gone before even giving a chance, expecting my niece in another country to sort immediately which has greatly upset her and ruined her holiday. another family member had to leave work to collect the dog they so desperately needed rid of. The situation would not have been so bad had the company treated her with respect, instead of calling her "tight" for the dog having a crate & judging her and telling her she needs to get training. All the blame has fell on her, not her fault that the people looking after the dog didn't like barking. do not send your pup here unless they are absolutely perfect, mute and don't ask for food otherwise it will be turfed out as soon as your gone followed by rude judgmental comments."

"Our dogs have just had 3 nights away after a couple of one night sleepovers for the fist time. Susan delt with us brilliantly as we had some issues with finding somewhere that suited them as traditional kennels were a no no. With Susan's help and advice Digs for Dogs suited them brilliantly with no issue, will definitely use Susan's service again and would also highly recommend. 5 star."

"Won’t be taking my lovely little pouch her again and strongly advise any one else to think twice before they do! The lady who treat my dog washed him with cold water and pulled on his fur to position him to point he yelped in pain and when I stopped her and questioned her actions she implied that my 23 month old pup bit her a dog that is child friendly and has been bathed by my children with no issue! Upon ringing their head office to complain regarding the situation I was met with if you don’t like the service don’t use it! Not even any inclination to check that there staff are not rough housing people pets so clearly there are no internal standards to ensure quality and care! I would like to point out that even though the service was intolerably poor and bordering on abusive I still with no hesitation paid as I wouldn’t want this issue to in any way to be thought of as a discount issue! I will under no circumstances be removing this review as my pup is a part of my family and him and your pups need protecting from these callous people who are clearly just trying to churn money without any care for the animals providing their living! You may choice to use this service and you may also chose to let the attendant Natalie near your animal but if you read this first and have the same issues as I you were warned first"

"Buddy, our 7 month old cocker spaniel, has just returned from his first 10 day 'holiday' with Digs for Dogs. I can't praise the experience enough. We (and Buddy!) were looked after brilliantly by Sue who, from our very first meeting onwards, explained all aspects of the service clearly and guided us through any concerns we had. It's so clear that Sue has a wonderful appreciation for dogs and real empathy with the concerns owners have when they leave their pets for prolonged periods. While we were away, Buddy was placed with a lovely family who played with him, took him for plenty of walks and generally treated him as if he were their own pet. We received almost daily video and photo updates so we could see how much fun Buddy was having. When he arrived home, Buddy settled back in straight away and, if anything, is a little better behaved than before he went away! We'll definitely use Digs for Dogs again in the future and would recommend the service to anyone."

"Total piece of mind! We've got a 2 yr old French bulldog and as any dog owner knows they become your baby/child and more than just a dog to your family. So going away on business and holidays became an issue as we only trusted very close friends and family to take care of 'our boy'. A friend recommended Digs for Dogs (as he actually knew the owner of the franchise) so I got in touch (last minute also) hoping that they had someone we could meet and obviously check each other out before parting with our boy. I have to say we were very lucky in finding Philippa Walker as when we met, she put our minds at rest, went out her way to have our dog (as it was so last minute) and ensure us that he'll be taken care of. Being a dog owner herself made that little more easy to hand him over as its only my wife and myself that know how he behaves - or misbehaves at times. The service from initial meeting was extremely professional and filled us with confidence. They took notes on every little nuance our boy has, followed detailed instruction on medication and nutrition and then followed up with regular messages and images to keep our minds at rest. Having used Philippa's services a few times now I think our boy actually likes her more than us! Its a relief to see him so excited to her on collection day and a bit annoying that he totally blanks us and can't wait to go with Philippa - But this fills us with total confidence as he is happy, well looked after and loved while we're away on business. I'm not one for reviews (my first ever actually) but I felt I need to share the positive work Digs for Dogs do, and Philippa and family with taking care of the pride and joys of other families. If your looking for a dog minding, walking, grooming service then definitely get in touch with these guys!"
