"Really nice place, only had a drink but lovely fire going which was great after a walk. Really clean inside and well decorated. Staff friendly and pleasant. Didn't eat but lots of people looked like they were enjoying the food."

"Three of us called in again today 9th Feb 2.30pm and ordered food and beer from the delightful staff Mother and daughter. They are both so polite and welcoming. The beer was just unbelievable and probably one of the best pints of cask we have all ever had. The food was just 'stunning' with the apple crumble to die for. I can't recommend this pub enough. Well done."

"Went for lunch as was highly recommended the food was lovely and the pub was clean and tidy my only down point was when we were seated no others where in so we were given a table to the left as you come in not a problem. A couple came in with a dog who sat on the table behind us again no problem we knew dogs were allowed, my gripe comes when a few walkers came in asked to sit at the table next to us and the girl (who gave us our table) said no that’s where dogs and their owners sit (we didn’t have a dog) if it hadn’t of been for that comment I would have never have thought anything of it but for her to clearly say that knowing we could hear was in my mind unacceptable. Would I come here again…. For the food yes I would."
