"Our daughters have been training at this academy for three years. What first won us over was the support, encouragement, and amazing positive energy that flowed out of the instructors - especially Head Instructor Buss. Everyone here - staff, students, and families alike - are a community. My girls have always felt welcomed at the academy and on the mat and have never once been treated differently because they are girls (which is good, because they are STRONG GIRLS!). Not only are the students taught great martial arts skills, WI-MAFC also puts a strong focus on community, responsibility, health, and positive relationships at home and at school. Daughter 1 (age 9): "I liked how everyone at each belt rank was treated equally no matter who they were (age or gender).
